GIVING YOU THE POWER TO DEVELOP

If you are reading this, you have already imagined a dynamic career for yourself. And recognized that an MBA has to be part of it. An MBA that not only unlocks the doors to senior executive roles, but which helps you to grow in ways that will make all your goals achievable: not just in business, but in your personal life too.

The Goethe Full-Time MBA is just such a program. Offered in cooperation with the international Goethe-Institut, this MBA is all about giving you the power to develop. Perhaps in ways you never thought possible.

Our focus is on you and your aspirations. We combine teaching from world-leading faculty with a holistic approach to career development. Individual leadership skills. Personal development. High-Performance leadership coaching.

In addition to a core program that extends to 15 general management courses and 4 integrative courses, we offer you the benefit of general studies in science, culture, nature and society.

Most of the courses will be taught at Goethe University in Frankfurt, although the program also inlcudes a residency at Tongji University in Shanghai.

WHY EARN YOUR MBA DEGREE FROM GOETHE BUSINESS SCHOOL?

Because we have recognized that a dynamic business environment needs dynamic leaders. Rounded and skilled individuals who have the professional and personal skills to create the world we need.

We help you to develop in three ways: via our unique teaching approach, our internationalism and our philosophy of ‘future employability’.

In addition to attaining an internationally respected and AACSB-accredited MBA qualification, the German language courses you take at the Goethe-Institut will give you better insights into German culture and help you to work in a German company in the future.

PROGRAM CORE ELEMENTS

1. MULTIDISCIPLINARY INTEGRATION Applying knowledge across functions and developing broad problem-solving skills.

2. EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING During the program, you will apply the skills you learn to a global consulting project, an entrepreneurial project and an internship.

3. SOFT SKILL DEVELOPMENT Running through the entire program is an individualized personal development process. This includes high performance leadership coaching and competence development.

4. GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE Our global profile extends from our students to our faculty, corporate sponsors and residency locations.

5. ETHICS AND CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY We consider it part of our mission to help develop successful and responsible future business leaders who have an awareness of the growing importance of ethical issues in today’s business world.

CORE COURSESThe heart of your MBA is made up of 12 core courses. These have been designed to introduce you to fundamental management concepts and functions and to give you the foundation you need to guide your own professional and personal development. Cen-tral to this element of the program is developing your ability to think strategically and to grow your leadership skills.

From this base, you will be in a position to fully benefit from our functional and integrative courses.

ELECTIVESTo deepen and widen your knowledge of a particular field, you can choose three elective courses from the wide range of courses we offer in the fields of: • StrategicLeadership • InnovationManagement • Marketing • Finance&Accounting

INTEGRATIVE COURSESAs a key element of our focus on developing both highly skilled and personally enriched business leaders, we have created aseriesofcomplementary IntegrativeCourses. These includeEthics&CorporateSocialResponsibility,aGlobalConsultingProject, Reflecting Theory and Practice Workshops, and an Entrepreneurial Project.

INTERNSHIPKnowledge is nothing if it cannot be effectively applied. To this end, we give you the opportunity to apply your learning in a real-life setting. The Goethe MBA program includes a six-week Internship that lets you test and deepen your understanding of the coursework. It is here that our location in Frankfurt and our close links with our corporate sponsors really show their value. After the internship, you will write a final report comparing your practical experiences with the theories and concepts you learned in the classroom. You will also present your findings to your fellow students.

MASTER THESISAt the end of your studies, you will be required to successfully complete a Master Thesis, which should reflect what you have learned during the MBA program.

BROADEN YOUR HORIZON – GBS LECTURE SERIESGlobal business leaders need a global perspective. To help you develop that awareness, we have incorporated a general studies component into the Goethe MBA. The “Broaden Your Horizon” lecture series explores key issues within science, culture, nature and society. A series of lectures and debates encourages you to learn from policy-makers, practitioners and thought leaders in a wide range of fields.

GERMAN LANGUAGE COURSESFor a broader understanding of German culture and to enable you to live and work in Germany during and after your MBA, you are required to learn German. Courses will be offered by the Goethe-Institut, the world leader in teaching German language and culture for over 50 years.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADERSHIP COACHINGA unique feature of the Goethe MBA is your own personal development and High Performance Leadership Coaching process. In this element of the program, professional coaches work with you to identify your existing key skills as well as areas in which you feel you would like to develop. We then design a customized process that will help you achieve your goals, becoming a more effective mentor to the people you manage.
