My goals for my nursing career are very important to me, because
they reflect my passion
for making the world of nursing an exciting and educational
experience. Through these goals, I
hope to be able to reach new heights and take on challenges. The
field of nursing has endless
opportunities for directions that nurses are able to go, and I
am excited to being my journey as a
nurse.
Short Term Goals:
Become involved with a residency program Seek out learning
opportunities with my preceptor during the first weeks of being a
new
graduate nurse
Eventually become involved with projects or committees that are
relevant to my unit Join organizations such as the Oncology Nurses
Society
Long Term Goals:
Become an Oncology Certified Nurse Become a preceptor for
nursing students and new members of the unit Work with some type of
education for nursing students or nurses
