  • T E A KTeak is a dense, close-grained hardwood with uniquely high natural oil content. Teak isexceptionally hard wearing, highly resistant to rotting and almost impervious to theeffects of sun, rain, frost or snow. For these reasons, teak is the first-choice timber foroutdoor furniture.

    All the teak we use is plantation grown. We work continually to ensure that everything todo with our use of teak is environmentally correct and that our manufacturing activitiesfollow good environmental practices for the benefit of both our people and the localcommunities.

    O U T D O O R L O U N G EOur pioneering Outdoor Lounge cushion system has been conceived, designed andengineered to be highly water resistant, meaning cushions can be left outdoors 24/7. Inthe unlikely case that any water does pass through the outer cushion covers, theconstruction of the Outdoor Lounge cushions themselves - including an inner cushionliner, reticulated foam and fibre core, mesh bases and concealed Velcro seals - allows for itto drain away quickly. As with any item left permanently outside and exposed to theelements, regular cleaning is recommended. We also advise furniture is covered in theWinter months.

    P O W D E R C O AT E D A L U M I N I U MOur aluminium furniture is painted using an electro-statically applied, polyester powdercoat finish. The electro-static application method ensures 100% coverage of the metalssurface area and provides a consistent and tough finish that far exceeds other standardpaint finishes. The resulting polyester powder-coated surface is flexible and thus knockand scratch resistant, impervious to moisture, highly resistant to corrosion and easy toclean.

    S TA I N L E S S S T E E LAll our stainless steel items are made from 304 grade stainless steel - the industry standardfor outdoor seating products. The standard brushed finish provides a smooth, resistantsurface that is as appealing to the touch as it is easy to clean and maintain. In addition tothis brushed finish, we also offer an electropolished finish on select items of furniture.Electropolishing is an electrochemical process whereby the combination of an electricalcurrent and a strong acid removes much of the iron from the surface of the steel, butleaves the chrome intact, resulting in a more shiny, but improved corrosion resistantsurface.

    O U T D O O R W I C K E ROur woven furniture is made from the highest quality outdoor wicker. Soft to the touchand remarkably natural in appearance, the fibre is woven over a colour matched, powdercoated aluminum frame ensuring the quality, strength and longevity of the furniture. Thewicker used is highly supple, tear resistant and UV resistant. Our polyethylene based,extruded and through-dyed wicker is completely weatherproof as well as being colourfast,extremely hard wearing and easy to clean. The wicker is resistant to chlorine, salt water,tanning lotions and oils. Furniture manufactured using outdoor wicker is completelyweather resistant and can be left outside and exposed to the elements all year round.

    S TA I N L E S S S T E E LAl onze roestvrij stalen meubelen zijn gemaakt van inox304 de industrile afwerking voor buitenmeubelen. Hetoppervlak van de meubelen in roestvrij staal wordtstandaard geborsteld afgewerkt, wat aangenaam is om aante raken en eenvoudig te onderhouden, naast dezegeborstelde afwerking bieden wij op een beperkt aantalmeubelen ook een Electropolish afwerking aan.Electropolish is een electrochemisch proces waarbij eencombinatie van electrische stroom en een zeer sterk zuurhet oppervlak van het roestvrij staal atoom per atoomafbreken. Dit proces breekt hoofdzakelijk het ijzer in debovenste lagen af, maar laat het chroom intact. Dezebehandeling maakt het roestvrij staal anderzijds nogduurzamer en corrosiebestendiger.

    O U T D O O R W I C K E RAl onze gevlochten meubelen zijn gemaakt van de meestkwalitatieve kunststofvezel. Aangenaam om aan te rakenen met een uitzonderlijk natuurlijke look, de vezel isgevlochten over een gepoedercoated frame inaangepaste kleur dat zorgt voor de kwaliteit, sterkte enlange levensduur van de meubelen. De gebruikte vezel iszeer soepel, ongevoelig voor weersinvloeden enuitzonderlijk sterk en eenvoudig in onderhoud. Deze vezelwordt gemaakt op basis van polyethyleen, gextrudeerden gekleurd in de massa. De vezel is resistent voor chloor,zoutwater, zonnecrme en olie. Onze gevlochtenmeubelen zijn volledig weersbestendig en kunnen heelhet jaar door buiten blijven staan.

Questo metodo di verniciatura garantisceuna copertura uniforme di tutta la superfice metallica,creando uno strato di elevata resistenza con qualitsuperiore agli standard attuali. Il risultato una superficeverniciata a polveri di polyestere, flessibile ma antigraffioe resistente a colpi, indiffirente ad umidit, inossidabile eperfino facile da pulire.

    A C C I A I O I N O S S I D A B I L ETutti I nostril prodotti del genere sono realizzati conacciaio inossidabile AISI 304 lo standard industrial perarredi per esterno. La finitura standard, spazzolata, rendela superficie confortevole al tatto e facile da pulire emantenere. Ulteriormente offriamo una finitura conpolitura elettrolitica su certe collezioni della nostragamma. La politura elettrolitica un processo elettro-chimico, dove tramite corrente elettrica e acido, ferropresente nell acciaio viene rimosso lasciando solo ilcromo, risultando in una superfice pi splendente eresistente a corrosione.

    F I B R A S I N T E T I C A I N A L U M I N I OI nostri arredi intrecciati sono realizzati con fibresintetiche per esterno di altissima qualit. Morbidi al tattoe molto verosimili, le fibre sintetiche sono intrecciate suun telaio in aluminio, verniciato nel colore dell intreccio,ch garantisce la stabilit e durabilit del prodotto.Questo intreccio specialmente pieghevole, resistente adacqua e raggi ultravioletti. La nostra fibra a base dipolietilene, estrusa e colorata in pieno assolutamenteresistente alle intemperie e ai raggi UV e sempre facilenella manutenzione. Senza problemi resiste a chloro,acqua salata, oli di ogni tipo o creme. Gli arredi realizzaticon fibre sintetiche per esterno possono essere espostialle intemperie per tutto l anno.

  • O U T D O O R S T R A POur outdoor straps (Source collection) are constructed from polyester which is resistantto both mould and mildew. As the straps are an integral part of the furniture frame andcannot be removed, regular cleaning is required to keep this element in good condition.The strap material is stabilised to minimise the effect of UV light, but there may be aslight loss of colour over prolonged periods of exposure to sunlight. To reduce thisexposure, we recommended you cover your furniture during the Winter months.

The paint used is manufactured by Sikkens/Akzo Nobel, a world wide renownedsupplier of marine paints and lacquers.

    H P LHPL (High Pressure Laminate) is a flat panel, based on thermosetting resins,homogeneously reinforced with wood based fibres and manufactured under high pressureand at high temperatures. We use the highest, architectural grade of HPL for our tabletops. This grade of HPL is UV resistant and extremely weather resistant. The smooth panelhas a pore free surface structure, ensuring that practically no dirt accumulates. Whateverthe colour of the surface however, the edge of the table top is always black. While HPL ishighly scratch resistant, deep scratches that penetrate the surface layer will expose the(black) core underneath.

    G L A S SGlass table tops feature either a highly polished or satin finish. In both cases, only highquality, tempered float glass is used with the backing colour applied using a baked-onceramic paint to ensure perfect adhesion and longevity. Satin finish glass has a distinctive,uniformly smooth and satin-like appearance. The addition of this finish virtually eliminatesany finger marking and makes the table top less reflective than polished glass.

    Acrylic Stone table tops (Dansk collection) consist of approximately 30% acrylic resin and70% aluminium hydroxide - a natural mineral obtained from bauxite aluminum ore. Theintelligent combination of acrylic, natural minerals and pigments produces an evencoloured, non-porous, smooth surface that is both heat, impact, scratch and UV resistant.

Dans les deux cas, seul du verre tremp detrs haute qualit est utilis, la couleur du support tantapplique en utilisant une peinture cramique cuite afind'assurer une adhsion et une longvit optimale. Lafinition satine du verre prsente une apparencedistingue et lisse, qui voque le satin. L'ajout de cettecouche de finition limine pratiquement toutes les tracesde doigts et rend le dessus de table moins propice auxreflets que lorsque l'on utilise du verre poli.

Deze variant isniet alleen Uv-bestendig, maar ook zeer weersbestendig.Aangezien het gladde oppervalk geen poriestructuurheeft, kan vuil zich ook niet opstapelen. Het oppervlak isverkrijgbaar in verschillende kleuren, de rand is echteraltijd zwart.

    G L A S STafelbladen in glas hebben een satijnglansafwerking ofeen fijn gepolierde afwerking. In beide gevallen maaktmen gebruik van de beste kwaliteit van gehard glas meteen ceramische verflaag die op de onderzijde van het glasgebrand wordt voor een permanente vorstbestendigeafwerking. De satijnafwerking levert een opvallend, zachtsatijnachtig oppervlak op, dat bovendien niet-weerkaatsend is en vingerafdrukken quasi onzichtbaarmaakt.

La vernicederiva da Sikkens/Akzo Nobel, un produttore di lacca esmalto marino conosciuto in tutto il mondo.

    L A M I N AT O A D A LTA P R E S S I O N EHPL (Laminato ad alta pressione) e composto da unpannello come piano, realizzato con resina insensibile avariazioni di temperature, rinforzato con fibre legnacee efinito ad alta pressione e temperatura. Utiliziamounicamente HPL di altissimo livello derivante dallarchitettura e le costruzioni. Questa qualita di HPL resisteai raggi ultravioletti e ad ogni tipo di intemperia. Ilpannello, liscio e privo di qualsiasi perforazione, nonpermette accumulazione di sporco. Il piano del tavolo edisponibile in diverse colorazioni, il bordo del tavoloinvece e sempre nero. HPL bianco resiste benissimo agraffi, in ogni caso graffi profondi renderanno visibile ilcuore nero del tavolo.

    V E T R OPiani di tavoli in vetro possono avere una finitura lucida etrasparente o una finitura satinata. In ogni caso vienoutilizzato solo vetro temperato di altissima qualit. Latinta a base di ceramica, viene applicata sul lato posterioredel piano tramite cottura per garantire una coperturauniforme e longevita del piano. La finitura satinata delvetro si distingue tramide la sua leggera ma uniformetorbidezza. I vantaggi di questa colorazione del vetrosono la minima visibilta di macchie o ditate e riflessioni diluce minori in confronto a vetri lucidi.

    HPLEl HPL (siglas en ingls de laminado a alta presin) es untablero plano, basado en resinas termoendurecibles,reforzado de forma homognea con fibras derivadas de lamadera y fabricado a alta presin y temperaturas elevadas.En nuestras mesas usamos el HPL de la mxima calidad,utilizado en el sector de la arquitectura. Este tipo de HPLes resistente a los rayos ultravioleta y muy resistente a losfenmenos atmosfricos. El tablero, muy liso al tacto,posee una estructura superficial no porosa, lo quegarantiza que no se acumula suciedad. No obstante, conindependencia del color de la superficie, el borde deltablero de la mesa siempre es negro.

    C R I S TA LLos tableros de mesa de cristal incluyen un acabadosatinado o altamente pulido. En ambos casos, tan solo seutiliza vidrio flotado templado de alta calidad, y el colorde fondo se aplica utilizando pintura cermica al fuegopara garantizar una adhesin y longevidad ptimas. Elvidrio con acabado satinado presenta un aspectocaracterstico, de una suavidad uniforme y un brillosatinado. La adicin de este acabado elimina casi porcompleto las marcas de dedos y hace que el tablero de lamesa refleje menos que con el vidrio pulido.

At Gloster, we use only the f inest mater ia l s in the manufacture ofour products and you can ensure your furn iture en joys a long and trouble-free l i fe with just a l i t t le bas ic maintenance every year.

    Our woven, meta l and s l ing products requi re only the most s imple of c lean ing reg imes to keep them looking as good as new. Meta l furn iture can attract d i r t and sta ins andtherefore needs per iodic c lean ing with Gloster s Meta l C leaner or Sta in less Steel C leaner & Pol i sher . S l ing , outdoor lounge and woven furn iture needs only an occas iona lc lean with our spec ia l non-foaming S l ing & Woven Cleaner or our Outdoor Lounge Fabr ic C leaner .

    Contrary to popular be l ief, teak furn iture does not requi re any spec ia l maintenance rout ine or any addit iona l protect ion apart f rom occas iona l c lean ing . I f left to agenatura l ly outs ide by being exposed to l ight , a i r and ra in , then the sur face of the teak wi l l gradual ly change to a soft , s i lver-grey as the p igments in the sur face layer of thewood s lowly start to fade away.

    We recommend that you a l low your teak furn iture to weather natura l ly th is way and s imply c lean thoroughly once or twice a year with our Teak Cleaner . To protect teaksur faces f rom sta in ing and to he lp mainta in the s i lver-grey pat ina on weathered teak , we recommend us ing our Teak Sta in Protector which repels moisture and min imizesthe l ike l ihood of sta ins caused by food and dr inks .

    I f you want to reta in the golden-brown colour of new teak we a lso offer a Teak Sea ler . Appl icat ion of Teak Sea ler wi l l not affect the strength or longevity of the furn iturein any way, just i t s appearance . I f you e lect to use Teak Sea ler you wi l l be embark ing on a regular maintenance program as Teak Sea ler needs to be regular ly re-appl ied toprovide cont inuous protect ion .
