SBF-NUS Global Internship & Mentorship (GIM) Programme 2012Application procedures1. All registrations should reach the NUS Career Centre by 29 February 2012 (Wednesday), 2359 hour. No change/amendment will be accepted after the above deadline. 3. Upon receiving students registration, the NUS Career Centre will contact shortlisted students for a first round of interviews. Company interviews/phone interviews will be conducted if necessary. 4. Only shortlisted students will be called for interviews before 14 March 2012 (Wednesday).

Operations Interns participate in a 10-12 week program based in Singapore, Hong Kong or Japan providing a unique opportunity and exposure to life in Operations. Interns are given a true associate experience, as internships mirror fulltime positions and include goal-setting and a formal review process. In addition to learning opportunities there are formal and social opportunities to interact and network with senior colleagues.

Placement Operations Interns are placed directly with a specific team throughout the internship.

The data will be provided by the vendor. 2) Perform root-cause analysis of the trends and identity red flags, such as ineffective performance driver for retail / F&B / Services. Project: Conduct a benchmark study of training and proficiency requirements across international Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting organizations, SCDF and possible other private sector companies in related industries. The project will include the design and conduct of a staff survey on the effectiveness of the current training and proficiency requirements in place and to solicit suggestions on how to further improve the current system. The survey will also gather feedback from internal staff on the effectiveness of existing people development and people engagement initiatives. Learning Outcome: Familiarity of training and proficiency standards across international and local organizations providing emergency services and also have experience in the conducting a survey from design to implementation to analysis. Project: Changi Airport presently has some digital presence including its website, smartphone applications and social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter). Study will uncover how successful has CAG been in its efforts, what more can be done to raise Changi's online profile and extend its reach among stakeholders and how CAG can best measure the effectiveness of its digital programme.

This project will require the intern to: a) Study the upcoming trends in social media. b) Compare what Changi is doing vis-a-vis other airports and c) Propose a strategy in which we can increase fan numbers and deepen the engagement Changi has with fans. Learning Outcome: Application of social media platforms to an organization's overall communication strategy.
