The essence of our company hasn’t changed since our founders discovered the wonder of Montana wheat and opened the first Great Harvest Bread Co. in Great Falls in 1976.

Today, the home office is located in Dillon, Montana, near the heart of the world’s best wheat-growing region. Great Harvest has more than 220 bakeries located throughout 43 states. On average we grant franchise agreements to no more than 18 applicants each year.

IT DOESN’T GET ANY FRESHER THAN THIS!Great Harvest grinds premium, high-protein wheat kernels daily into fresh and flavor-ful whole grain flour. The fresh flour is then baked into whole grain breads and other whole grain products within 48 hours. The result is fantastic tasting and nutrient-rich breads and sweets.

Forget about additives and dough conditionersProducts as fresh as ours don’t need them. Our bread is guaranteed to stay fresh for seven to 10 days. We believe fresh tastes amazing and ingredients closest to nature are best. Grain that has been processed, refined, bleached and stripped of its natural bran and oils loses vital nutrients, fiber and flavor.

THE PRODUCTS CUSTOMERS LOveGreat Harvest is known for its handcrafted whole grain breads. Honey Whole Wheat bread is our all-time top seller, followed by whole grain breads like Dakota, Nine Grain and High-Five Fiber. Our Great Harvest bakeries feature an array of products that may include granola, cinnamon rolls, muffins, scones, cookies, specialty batter breads, gourmet jams and peanut butter, dipping oils and soup mixes. Increasingly, Great Harvest bakeries also have incredible sandwiches on their menus.

Our whole wheat comes from the best source on earth: family farms on the dry high plains of the American heartland, where perfect growing condi-tions, coupled with decades of farming tradition, produce an exceptional crop. There’s nothing mass-produced about our whole wheat breads. We know where every kernel comes from and we like knowing we are supporting farms that have been producing the finest wheat for generations.

Great Harvest purchases more than 150,000 bushels of wheat kernels each year. One bushel weighs 60 pounds.
