It has been an exciting time at Moody Gardens Hotel, Spa and

Convention Center. Recently, we were named “Best Family Venue” by Galveston.com. This is quite an accomplishment for us, as we work hard to provide a fantastic experience for all of our guests. We sincerely thank everyone who voted for us.

Summer is on the horizon and school will soon be out in a matter of weeks. That means it’s time to start planning for vacation! To make planning easier, we have created several new packages to enjoy at the hotel. Whether you are a golfer, wanting to enjoy the gardens, or plan to visit the Rainforest and Aquarium Pyramids, we have a package to fit your needs.

Our Kids Crew activities continue to grow! We are continuously adding new things that will delight children of all ages. One thing that is always a hit…Sunny the Penguin! Starting May 27th, Sunny will return to greet guests daily in the hotel lobby.

It’s almost time for the new and improved Aquarium Pyramid to reopen. Our grand reveal happens over Memorial Day weekend, so make plans now to come and see all of the improvements and changes. You are in for a $37 million treat!

Get Ready For A Rockin’ Good Time At Moody Gardens!

Prepare for a jaw-dropping underwater experience at the brand new Aquarium Pyramid. After a $37 million renovation, finishing touches are underway for the grand reveal on Memorial Day weekend.

Moody Gardens is thrilled to introduce the warm-climate penguins that hail from Southern Hemisphere waters of the South Pole to the Equator.

See the balance of technology and nature through an oil rig platform. Oil rigs provide attachment surfaces for encrusting organisms and create an entire reef ecosystem.

Journey to the Caribbean at the new Mangrove Lagoon, and touch Cownose Stingrays and Bonnethead Sharks. Watch as they swim lazily around the jungle of stilt roots that most of the region’s fish call home.

Moody Gardens is highlighting a hidden gem from the Gulf of Mexico. The new Flower Garden Banks Exhibit brings attention to the unique tropical coral reef system found just 115 miles offshore. The exhibit includes examples of Brain, Star and Elkhorn coral, all of which can be seen on the banks.

The North Pacific Gallery focuses on the high-energy coastline to the west. See Seals and Sea Lions alongside other kelp forest inhabitants including Leopard Sharks and the long-lived Rockfish.

Go back in time and experience one of history’s greatest thinkers in the Discovery Museum. Da Vinci The Exhibition is a hands-on exploration of Leonardo da Vinci’s life, creativity, research and art. Featuring more than 65 fully built, life-size inventions, the artist’s intricate designs and

extraordinary early concepts are spotlighted, including his design for the helicopter, tank, SCUBA, crane, clock, submarine and his plan for a modern city.

Guests will have the opportunity to thoroughly study the artistic mastery behind such works as “Mona Lisa,” “The Last Supper” and many more.

The exhibition opens May 27th.

Soothe your hands and feet with our calming Lavender Delight Mani & Pedi. The manicure consists of a lavender soak and scrub used to soften the skin and leave it smooth to the touch. The pedicure will include a smooth lavender mask and moisturizing treatment. The 2-hour service is available for $90.

Enjoy an anti-stress Lavender Facial! The facial is perfect for all skin types, including sensitive skin and works wonders for inflammation. It tightens pores and restores skin to its natural glow with it’s amazing peel-off mask. Lavender is not only known to relax but it will also restore and heal the skin. July 4Galveston Independence Day CelebrationGalveston Island will celebrate its annual Independence Day with a parade featuring a procession of floats, decorated military vehicles and performers.
