tomotive accessories - with a special emphasis on excellence in

aerodynamics and design. With KAMEI roof boxes, you opt for mo-

We subject our roof boxes to numerous crash tests and vibration tests

at the centres of TÜV and the German Centre for Aerospace (DLR). As a

result, today, our products already meet the strict requierements of the

lastest version DIN 75 302 / ISO 11154. In addition, KAMEI roof boxes

are exhaustively tested in the wind tunnel, paintable and fully recycla-

ble.

Durable and resistant.

The DUROKAM® thermoplastic material used by KAMEI is a modified

>ABS< (acrylonitrile butadiene-styrene). The new formula developed to

KAMEI specifications gives the material outstanding qualities: light-

weight, impact resistant, dimensionally stable and long-lasting.

Paintable:

All KAMEI roof boxes are outstandingly well-suited to paints and fi-

nishing coats. However, for perfect results, the lastest application inst-

ructions of the relevant paint manufacturer must be taken into account.

For your safety:

To help drivers remember the new vehicle height, all KAMEI roof boxes

are supplied with a warning sticker. Position the dimension entries in

the driver´s field of view.

Also:

We will be happy to take back your old roof box in return for proof of

purchase of a new KAMEI box. For this purpose, please send the old

box, carriage and duty paid, to our plant in Wolfsburg.

MAINTENANCE TIPS

Regular maintenance prolongs the life span and maintains the opera-ting functions and safety of your KAMEI roof box.

To prevent damage to the surface, use only solvent-free car wax and detergents containing no alcohol, chorine or ammonia additives, and do not use any cockpit sprays or cleaning agents containing oil. Clean and lubricate the locks with commercially available silicone sprays.

Coution: Remove the roof box and roof rackbefore using a drive-in automatic car wash.

TIPS & TRICKS FOR KAMEI ROOF BOXES

CORRECT LOADING

If possible, place the heavy objects in the middle of your KAMEI roof box, so that the overall payload will be distributed evenly over the load-bearing rack and the car. All packed articles must be securely tied down to prevent slipping. For sports equipment, use only specially de-signed carrying systems. It is important to ensure that the load does not present any obstruction to closing the KAMEI roof box, in order to prevent malfunction of the locking system. Never exceed the maximum roof load specified by the manufacturer. The maximum overall weight („gross vehicle weight“) of your vehicle must not be exeeded.

SAFE DRIVING

Your KAMEI roof box provides all the extra stowage space you desire - but it also demands that you adapt your driving style to the modified weight and height of your vehicle:

- Sensitivity to side winds will be increased.- When loaded, the change in the centre of gravity of your vehicle will

require you to modify your cornering and braking habits.- Depending on the roof rack, the height of the vehicle will be increased

by up to 60 cm. This must always be remembered when approaching low bridges or low entrance barriers (e.g. car parks).

What is the maximum speed that you can drive with your roof box?There is no speed limit imposed by legislation. However, KAMEI recommends a to speed of 130 km/h.

KAMEI´s universal rear wings, with or without additional bra-ke lights, fit an extensive range of vehicles. The spoilers are made from light ABS plastic and are simply to paint.
