Dietetics Practice Update

• January 1, 2024 Deadline SET– Completed master’s required to sit for RD

exam– Can be any master’s (art, biology, education,

language, etc.) • Moving forward, programs will be required to be

coordinated programs offering ACEND graduate degrees (timeline not specified)

Dietetics Practice Update

• GDPH DI Options– Coordinate with a college/university to offer

masters and supervised practice combined– Change admission requirements to accept

only those with completed graduate degree– Accept the last class in 2022 and close

Internship Update

• Accreditation– Reduced accreditation term granted

• 18 month accreditation period• June 30, 2015

– Additional monitoring and reporting required• Progress report sent April 17, 2015• July 2015 decision expected

– Graduated 10 Interns in August of 2014– Yearly First Time Past Rate

• 1 intern from the graduating class of 2013 took the test in January and did not pass

• 10th intern from 2013-14 tested January 2015 and did not pass

• 10 interns from the graduating class of 2014 have taken the test and 9 have passed

– 2014-15 cohort of 11 scheduled to graduate August 27, 2015– 2015-16 cohort of 6 scheduled to begin community rotation
