NOTE:It is important that venting be installed usingthe most direct route and with as few elbows as possible.This ensures clear venting of exhaust and helps preventblockages.

Exhaust connection:The hood exhaust has been designed to mate witha standard 314x 10rectangular duct.

If a round duct is required, a rectangular-to-roundtransition adaptor must be used. Do not use less thana 6diameter duct.

For satisfactory air movement, the total duct length of314x 10rectangular or 6diameter round duct should

DETERMINING MOUNTING PLATE LOCATION UNDER YOUR CABINETC

Your cabinets may have decorative trim that interfereswith the microwave oven installation. You may need to

remove the decorative trim to install the microwave ovenproperly and to make it level.

THE MICROWAVE OVEN MUST BE LEVEL.Use a level to make sure the cabinet bottom is level.

If the cabinets have a front overhang, install themounting plate down the same distance as the frontoverhang depth. This will keep the microwave oven level.

Measure the inside depth of the front overhang.

Draw a horizontal line on the back wall an equaldistance below the cabinet bottom as the inside depthof the front overhang.

For this type of installation with front overhang,align the mounting tabs with this horizontal line, nottouching the cabinet bottom as described in Step D.

ALIGNING THE MOUNTING PLATE

Draw a vertical line on the wall at the center of the 30wide space.

Remove the screws holding the blower unit andthe screws securing the blower plate. Removethe blower plate from the outer case by sliding ittoward the back of the microwave and pulling up.

2 Carefully pull out the blower unit. The wires willextend far enough to allow you to adjust theblower unit.

Roll the blower so that fan blade openings arefacing the top of the oven. Place the blower backinto the opening.

Slide the blower plate back onto the microwaveby placing the side tabs into the slots and pushinggently until the back tab is seated into the rear slot.Replace 3 screws.

Note:Make sure the wires remain routed through theopenings in the motor frame. To avoid damage tothe fan motor wiring, insert motor carefully such thatthe fan motor wiring does not contact the microwavepower cord bracket.

Place the microwave oven in its upright position, withthe top of the unit facing up and the front of the unitfacing toward you.

Remove the screw on the back side of the blowerplate and raise the blower plate off of the microwave.

Slide the damper from left to right into the tabs on theblower plate. The yellow tape on the damper shouldbe facing away from you.Remove the yellow tape from the damper. You will need to make adjustments to assure properalignment with your house exhaust duct after themicrowave oven is installed.

Position the blower plate with damper back on themicrowave and secure it with the screws that wereremoved.

Insert a self-aligning screw through top-centercabinet hole. Temporarily secure the microwave

oven by turning the screw at least two fullturnsafter the threads have engaged.(It will becompletely tightened later.) Insert 2 self-aligningscrews (14-28 x 2 14) through outer top cabinetholes. Turn two full turns on each screw.

Tighten the three screws to the top of the microwaveoven. (While tightening screws, hold the microwaveoven in place against the wall and the top cabinet.)

Install grease filters. See the Owners Manual packedwith the microwave oven.

Attach the plate to the wall using toggle bolts. At leastone wood screw must be used to attach the plate toa wall stud. Remove the toggle wings from the bolts.

Insert the bolts into the mounting plate throughthe holes designated to go into drywall and reattach

4 Tighten the three screws to the top of themicrowave oven. (While tightening screws, holdthe microwave oven in place against the wall andthe top cabinet.)

Insert a self-aligning screw through top-centercabinet hole. Temporarily secure the microwaveoven by turning the screw at least two fullturnsafter the threads have engaged.(It will becompletely tightened later.) Insert 2 self-aligningscrews (14-28 x 2 14) through outer top cabinetholes. Turn two full turns on each screw.
