of the most meritorious original research articleon the behavioral effects of peptides

published during the previous year in PEPTIDES

The recipient will receivea cash prize of $2,000,

and write an article in PEPTIDESdescribing the winning research program

as a Gayle A. Olson & Richard D. Olson Prize review.

In addition to their primary research articles,their annual review of the research literature on opiate peptides

has become a highly respected mainstay in the fi eld.

All behavioral articles published in PEPTIDES during the calendar yearwill automatically be considered for the Olson Prize.

The Olson Prize was inauguratedon the occasion of their retirementfrom the Department of Psychology

at the University of New Orleans,to honor the outstanding contributions of

Gayle A. Olson and Richard D. Olsonto the fi eld of peptide research

over the past four decades.

Each of these distinguished scientistshas actively published original research

on the behavioral effects of neuropeptidesand served on the editorial board ofPEPTIDES since its inception in 1980.
