    Empowerment culture - My team grew from two Talents with single function to ten with multi-functions mainly responsible for operations, administration and

    maintenance of the core infrastructure network and CDN network. Appropriate empowerment to the team based on their strengths made us learn from existing

    roles and emerge stronger than ever.

    As a leader, Talent development is the top priority task in my wish list. I want my team to become "All-round athletes“. We are not just sitting inside the office,

    we are also the representatives of HKBN, developers who build the tools best suited for the company, as well as the contact point between HKBN and our

  • - Making use of maximum synergies after mergers of the HKBN, Ex-nwt and WTT networks. We need excellent planning for the enhancement of services to both

    residential and enterprise markets, especially to parts of the city without HKBN coverage

    - Closely cooperate with sale teams to explore new business opportunities with oversea submarine cable owners, such as developing the cable landing station

    or helping them on landing their cables in HK.

    - Co-Ownership (CO) plan is the secret sauce that makes HKBN unique. I joined the CO2b in 2016 and expect to continue my vote of confidence in HKBN’s

    future by joining the upcoming CO3+.

    - Concentrate resources for better results on bids of joint roadwork projects

    - Arrange for job rotations among 3 functional teams leaders so they can accumulate experience in different areas and sustain success in their careers

    The LUCA that I contribute to HKBN is my understanding of the local community scenery and social connections with various non-profit organisations. My LUCA

    has continued to develop alongside my time at HKBN also comes from a passion to explore different Corporate Social Investment (CSI) possibilities and learn +

    expand the job scope to the Environment Social Governance (ESG) field.

    This is not just a "dare to change" for me alone, but rather an open invitation to all HKBN Talents to start to think, plan, and act for purposeful profits. At HKBN,

    we have clear financial goals. We should never forget what brings us to the goal is actually a combination of outstanding non-financial performances

    (Environmental Social and Governance, ESG) as well as our core purpose Make our Hong Kong a Better Place to Live. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

    With this in mind, my core shift of duty and mindset is to jump from solely thinking for CSI, to driving

    transformation within HKBN --- inspire all departments to put our core purpose into concrete actions. ESG is not something new, it is what we’ve done all along

    for our Customers, Talents, Suppliers, Community and the Environment. I'll be leading my team to educate and drive a perspective change for all departments,

    i.e. shift from solely aiming for financial results to ask ourselves what we wish to DISRUPT FOR HONG KONG in these 5 ESG areas. By doing so, profits will follow.
