FYI: New Neonatal Resuscitation Program materialsby Trisha Korioth Staff Writer

The new Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) edition includes an updated Textbook of NeonatalResuscitation, 7th Edition, which reflects the 2015 Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation andEmergency Cardiovascular Care of the Neonate from the Academy and the American Heart Association.

The textbook, available at http://bit.ly/1Mo9H6B, includes 11 lessons: Foundations of Neonatal Resuscitation;Preparation for Resuscitation; Initial Steps of Newborn Care; Positive-pressure Ventilation; Alternative Airways:Endotracheal Tubes and Laryngeal Masks; Chest Compressions; Medications; Post-resuscitation Care;Resuscitation and Stabilization of Babies Born Preterm; Special Considerations; and Ethics and Care at the Endof Life.

New NRP reference charts, behavioral skills poster and NRP equipment poster also are available.
