Session 3: Nursing Presenter: Sue Seckel Description: This is a walking tour of the Nursing Lab with demonstrations using student training

Session 1: Neurodiagnostics Presenter: Neaurodiagnostic Technologist Description: Come and explore a professional all about central nervous system physiology that’s rich in practical science and integrated technologies! Learn what a Neurodiagnostics technologist does and the many career opportunities that exist in both hospital and clinic settings. See for yourself the amazing electrical properties of the brain with a live EEG recording, followed by discussion on application and use of the diagnostic information. Volunteers can work the computer themselves and watch the changes in electrical activity on screen! Session 2: Exercise Physiology Presenter: Clinical Exercise Physiologist Description: Learn about what is a clinical exercise physiologist. The skills and knowledge required to be an exercise physiologist and the variety of areas in health care you can

work in. We’ll go over real patient testimonials from cardiac rehabilitation going through to cardiac diagnostic stress testing. During this hands-on experience, you’ll see

how to attach a 12-lead ECG, how to interpret 12-lead ECGs, practice taking blood pressures, and help run a cardiac stress test!

Session 3: Facilities, Maintenance, and Sustainability in Healthcare Presenter: Sustainability Leader Description: Learn about buildings and grounds in hospitals and clinics and who keeps the buildings

functioning. We’ll look at energy; where our energy comes from, how we use it, and the

equipment needed to provide healthcare. We’ll also learn about construction projects and what happens when a new clinic is built, or changes occur in existing buildings.

This session includes a hands-on experience with scanning a patient in both echo/vascular; also showing different anatomy and what we look for when scanning a patient
