Step by Step Instructions:

1. Take your canvas and flip it over then

from a piece of cardboard, I used the bottom

from a pizza box that I had stash delivered in!Cut your frame shape. Use the straight cut click

blade #2801 in your freestyle mouse to create

an irregular outline and an irregular centre that

will fit around the frame on the BACK of your

canvas. Take a knife and create further decora-

tive curls around the outside edge of the frame.

2. Papier mache your frame with toilet roll

tissue or similar and a mix of 50/50 PVA glue

and water. Make the surface textured to add to

the faux gilt effect, leave aside to dry.

3. Now fill the inside of your canvas with your

collage. Trim a piece of blue vintage core’dinations

your #1060 smart trimmer to fit the full width of th

canvas and about 1/3rd of the way down. Scrunch

up, flatten it out, sand the creases then stick it in pl

with your glue glider pro.

4. Trim hills from papers in the Imaginisce Wil

Thing collection. Use decorative click blades #’s 280

2806, 2808, and 2809 in your freestyle mouse to

create interesting curved edges. Ink these with col

box cats eyes inks to show off the lovely decorative

cuts.

5. Stick them in place overlapping as you go

with the glue glider pro, leave the top edge free of

adhesive and when in place run your thumb nail

along the edges to curl them, adding more dimen-sion.

6. Add a doodled rainbow and clouds cut from

some of the Wild Thing paper.

7. Draw out some paper dolls from white card; these are little

more than stick figures. Color in the limbs that will show once

‘dressed’ in pencils.

8. Dress your paper dolls with clothes cut from the Bazzill card

and doodle some decoration on them, inking round the edges witcolorbox cats eyes inks to give them a 3D feel.

9. Cut out the photo heads and stick them onto your paper do

10. Going back to your frame, which should now be dry, paint it

with acrylic paints. I used gold and bronze to create the faux gilt

effect. Leave to dry.

11. Without sticking them in place yet, arrange your paper dolls

where you want them and find positions to add the animal rub onsfrom the Wild Things collection.

12. Stick your paper dolls in place. The back figures I’ve placed

flat and the children are on foam pads for added dimension, make

sure to overlap arms etc to make it a family unit.

13. Add some of the Wild Thing chip sticker flowers.

14. Make a small title plate for the front of your frame to reco

details of the picture. I cut mine from Bazzill cardstock using the

decorative click blade # 2808 in my smart trimmer. I inked the ed

with colorbox cats eyes inks and added gold brads to look like sc

15. Your frame should be dry now so stick it in place on your

canvas frame with strong wet glue.

16. Add your title plate and a chipboard sticker from the Imag

inisce Wild Things collection.

17. Place your canvas on an easel and display, you could even

a fixing to hang on a wall, stand back and admire your funky piec

art sure to create a talking piece in your home.
