Identify the key stakeholders and their roles needed to achieve the organizational goals,
and recommend the collaborative interactions among the key stakeholders to facilitate the
organization’s success.
In order for Huffman Trucking to attain the company’s goals, the leaders in
management must operate together with one another to recognize the strengths and
opportunities of the company. Both elements are demonstrated by means of an internal
analysis commonly achieved using an approach such as a SWOTT analysis. Providing
that the analysis is performed accurately, applications in this internal analysis have a
tendency to produce distinct outcomes that happen to unite divisions as well as strengthen
the abilities in executing Huffman Trucking's mission. Nonetheless, it is not simple on
account of management may be busy with administrative duties in their departments.
Therefore, management is required to set up a meeting to discuss and organize a plan to
be effective in their analysis and development of organizational goals.
A stakeholder is best defined as “a person, group or organization that has direct or
indirect stake in an organization because it can affect or be affected by the organization's
actions, objectives, and policies”. (Business Dictionary, 2010). Huffman Trucking is
distinctive in that there are two divisions within the executive leadership group. The
initial division refers to the executive management team of which consists of the
President/CEO, VP of Transportation, VP of Equipment/Maintenance, VP of Real Estate
and VP of Terminal Operations. This first division group maintains the daily functions of
Huffman Trucking. The next division is the CIO office that is in charge of
communication operations. Each division and its managers are key stakeholders and
would have to participate and be associated with the internal analysis.
The recommended collaborative interaction among the key stakeholders to
facilitate the organization’s success is an "All Hands" meeting. This enables managers to
step away from their departments. Presuming that it is put together properly, a complete
record of data would be collected. Each component will produce successful collaboration
and generate new thought among managers resulting in promoting creativity and
innovation. Following resolution, the managers will bring the designated plans back to
their various departments and administer the strategy to carry out the organization’s
goals.
