IGB-AP Training and Certification TIBA held the first IGB Accredited Professional Certification Examination in 2011. In the first round, there were 55 candidates, out of which 33 were certified. For the second, there were 111 candidates, out of which 53 were certified. And this year, there were 172 candidates, out of which 50 people were certified.

From 2000 to March 2014, 1269 cases have been accredited GB Label; 3153 cases have been certificated as candidate of GB Label. The number of private building which has succeeded to obtain GB Label is increasing every year. It is estimated that up to 1.236B kWh of electricity and 57M ton of water can be saved. The electricity saved during the life cycle of buildings is about NT$ 3.545B per year.

New public buildings must obtain GB and IB Labels from 2012
From July 2013, new public buildings which cost more than NT$
50M must obtain candidate certificate for GB; more than NT$ 200M
must obtain candidate certificate for IB after completion of RC slab
on 1st floor. Only after obtaining the GB and/or IB Labels, the
contractor can get all the construction fee from the owner.
