Introducing the Judges Piia Enlund (All – Rounder) and Minna Manninen

(Specialist) Kangasvuokon, Finland We have spent 27 years so far, dedicated to Collies, aiming for "Overall impression of dignity, elegance and harmony of balance." Piia wanted a dog for many years, and finally we got a Rough Collie in the beginning of 1986. The Kangasvuokon prefix was registered with the Finnish Kennel Club in 1988 by our mother Helvi Manninen, because the Manninen Girls - Minna, Piia & Mirja – were only 10, 11 and 12 years old! Our first litter was born 16.4.1988. Everything went like a dream. We kept from this first litter Kangasvuokon Charlotte, who was superb in breeding, producing 5 champions for us. It was start of new ERA! The dogs are very important part of our life; this way of life has given us many dear friends. Kangasvuokon is celebrating its 27th Anniversary in 2015. We have bred and/or owned 27 International (C.I.B.) Champions and 57 National Champions, which have about 170 titles. Kangasvuokon is the only Collie prefix which has been awarded the Finnish Kennel Club´s most distinguished mark of honour: Vuolasvirta Plaque, for both Roughs and Smooth of high quality breeding. This remarkable award has been given to us a sensational four times!! Mrs Piia Enlund (née Manninen) and Miss Minna Manninen are both FCI judges. Piia can judge several breeds from group 1 at the national and international championship show level. Piia has judged breeds in several other countries: Finland, UK, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands, Germany, Russia and Czech Republic. We look forward to seeing many of the UK´s top Collies in January 2016!
