Chapter 7 is weak. A few favorite subjects get, short shrift, such as convection caused by diffusion. This gets only two short paragraphs in Chapter 9, but is a whole subject in itself under names like salt fingers, oscillatory instabilities, and double-diffusive phenomena - see, for example, Scientific American for June 1971 or Annual Reviews of Fluid Mechanics for 1974. The 6th International Congress of Chemical Engineering, Chemical Equipment Design, and Automation will be held on the above dates in Prague. The Congress is sponsored by the Czechoslovak Committee for Industrial Chemistry and by the Czechoslovak Chemical Society.
