JUNIOR GOLF ASSOCIATION OF ARIZONA Zach was born and raised in Tucson. He started playing golf at the age of 11, and par- ticipated in the JGAA, Ricky Rarick and South- ern Arizona Junior Golf Programs. He was captain of his golf team at Catalina High School in 2007 and 2008, qualifying for the High School State Championship both years. Zach recently graduated from the Arizona State University Professional Golf Manage- ment Program, while completing several in- ternships during his tenure at ASU. In De- cember he finished a 6-month P.J. Boatwright Internship with the Arizona Golf Association. We welcome Zach to the JGAA team! JUNIOR GOLF ASSOCIATION OF ARIZONA

These Girls Rock! Clinic at the City of Phoenix Cave Creek Golf Course was a huge hit Jan. 19, with 40 girls ranging in age from 5- to 16-years-old anxious to learn about the game of golf from LPGA professional Susie Corona, LPGA-USGA Girls Golf staff and the First Tee of Phoenix. Many arrived with golf clubs in hand and oth-ers came with great an-ticipation of their first experience at the golf course. Girls focused on distance control and

The 25th Itty Bitty Open took place Jan. 19 and was a huge success with over 600 kids par-ticipating at 12 different loca-tions in the Phoenix Valley. The 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds who par-ticipated got introduced to the great game of golf and left with their first set of golf clubs and a smile.

Getting ready for the WM Phoenix Open! We watched the loading-in of 140,000 used golf balls for 18th hole water feature. All golf balls will be donated to the Junior Golf Association upon completion of the Waste Management Phoenix Open as part of their Zero Waste Movement.

R.S. Hoyt Jr. Family Foundation Dream Day took place on Tues-day January 29th at the TPC of Scottsdale. Over 300 Kids and their families enjoyed a trick shot show by Peter Longo, golf instruction, games, Itty Bitty Best Dressed Vote, lunch and motivational speech by Nick Lowery.

PGA Tour professional Billy Hor-schel talked to 6 Local junior golfers during the Practice with the Pros event.
