UNIVERSITY OF PERADENIYA

Applications are invited from graduates to the post of a Research Assistant of World Bank-funded AHEAD/DOR – VTCS Project of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya.

Terms of Reference

Assist the Project Coordinator and Deputy Project Coordinator on the overall implementation of project activities

Assist the research team in assessing the economics feasibility of restoration of Village Tank Cascade Systems (VTCSs) in Sri Lanka

Qualifications

A BSc. Degree in Agricultural Technology and Management or Agriculture preferably majoring in Applied Economics and Business Management or Agricultural Economics.

Period of appointment

Three years on annual-contract basis (annual extension based on performance)

Remuneration

A monthly payment of LKR 55,000 per month. From this amount, the candidate will contribute 8% to the EPF (the project will contribute a total of 15% for EPF + ETF per month).
