About Us

Trading since January 2003 as Landscaping Supplies Ltd. and Travertine Warehouse, we chose the opportunity to combine our internal and external branches into one when we moved to our new premises at Anchorage Park in Portsmouth. An entirely new location built from scratch and finished to our own exacting specifications to give us an excellent new platform to operate from. In 2013 we replicated the success of our Portsmouth branch by opening our second branch in Poole.

In our early years we were a small importer, shipping around 10 to 15 containers of sandstone a year and selling on to

local landscapers and DIY-ers. We quickly grew and with support from those first few customers we have become one

of the largest importers of stone products in the UK, yet still looking after those dependable customers from early on.

As a major importer of natural stone and timber products we can provide excellent quality to the trade and public at

unbeatable value.

Our close relationship with our suppliers both in the uk and around the world means we get the best quality products at

exceptional rates which we can pass on to our customers directly. Last year alone we imported more than 5,000 tonnes

of natural stone from India, Brazil, Turkey & Europe, which broken down means some 42,000 square metres of tiles,

38,500 square metres of paving and over 6000 railway sleepers from Canada and Europe. These impressive numbers

really go to show that we are a dependable stockist with proven, quality products and are really focused on passing

excellent quality and service to all of our customers time and time again.

Natural Stone & Timber stocks all of our products at each of our branches, which means we are able to offer a one stop

solution for your complete supply needs. Whether a small bathroom renovation or an industrial scale re-development,

we are always able to offer an affordable solution whatever your needs. We are now one of the best known exporters

to France and have been involved with many large scale shipments further afield to Bulgaria, Switzerland, Scandinavia

and Greece.

We hope you have a pleasurable experience working with us however great your needs, large or small, so please feel

free to browse our website and pick up some ideas or come and visit us in either our Portsmouth or Poole showrooms.

There is always a member of our knowledgeable staff happy to help with any query.

Our success throughout the years has been very much down to our friendly service, good quality products and fair

pricing. We always aim to give our customers consistency and quality for the best price we can, whenever we can.

Filled and honed is the most popular finish for our travertine tiles. It is smooth with a matt surface and straight square edges.

This finish is popular in more modern installations where a look of precision is required, often replacing ceramic tiles where the alternative can be more expensive, and be much less attractive.

Classic is our most popular shade, being mid to

pale beige in colour and with light but interesting

patternation. Also as one of the most available colours

to be produced it is imported more heavily and therefore

the costs are kept down meaning it is one of the best

value for money natural stone tiles.

Ivory Travertine is the lightest in our range with very

little veining and an almost creamy off-white colouring,

perfect for use in areas of low light where paler floor and

wall coverings are important.

Silver Travertine is becoming ever more popular with

customers. With light silver tones through to darker

grey veins and light cream highlights it is naturally

interesting and beautiful. Used frequently in large

areas or bathrooms to add the wow factor to high end

properties.

Noce Travertine is the darkest of our range with deep brown colouring and interesting patternation.

If can add depth and luxury to an area with its intensity and strength. Often used in chic luxury

bathrooms to create a close, comforting feeling.

Cut to give a more interesting look with a smooth honed surface and square edges our Vein Cut Travertine is one the most interesting tiles we stock. Cut with the direction of the veins rather then against them to give a striking pattern that exudes luxury, these tiles can be laid horzontally to add width to small rooms or vertically to create height making even the smallest en-suite feel bigger.

Our Vein Cut Travertine Tiles can also be laid in a

herringbone pattern to create something truely unique.

Why not give us a call and request a sample for your

next project and see if vein cut tiles will work in your

area.

Polished Travertine is used in high end designer

bathrooms and kitchens and is particularly benificial

in areas with low light . Their subtley polished surface

provides a good way to bounce light around a room and

maximise any natural light.

Tumbled and unfilled travertine shows the stone in its most natural form. This means it has a much more open surface, with small pits and holes and smooth rounded edges which gives an almost flagstone like appearance. Generally on installation the majority of holes will be filled with grout, leaving a few visible to enhance the overall aged look.

Travetine Mosaics

Travertine mosaics are available in a range of colours and sizes, all tumbled and unfilled. They create a way of adding texture when used as a border, or for a softer feeling when used alone. Particularly popular for use in wetrooms and bathrooms, and also increasingly popular for kitchen splashbacks, these mosaics will create a real impression when used on their own or as an accent piece in any room.

Classic Travertine Mosaics provide the widest range

of size options, available in square and in a brick style

pattern, these mosaics are a subtle mix of the Classic

colouring with light creams and beiges, which provide

a way of adding a contrasting texture to the filled and

honed tiles.

Mixed Travertine Mosaics are the most vivid of the

range and come with an interesting mix of light beiges

and cream colouring, through to strong orangey yellows

and the darker brown of Noce. Popular for shower areas

and the like and used widely as borders and as a divider

in tiled areas.

Chipped edge travertine is popular with those requiring a more traditional feel, often used in barn conversions, period properties and the like as a midway point between the modern and precise filled and honed tiles, and the more rustic feeling tumbled unfilled. The hand chipped edges and smooth surface provide the perfect balance between ease of maintenance and aesthetics.

Slate TilesGreen Slate is probably the most vibrant of the slate

range, with a subtle blend of strong greens it will

suit a darker area and works very well against timber

structures. Used frequently to add a lively twist in living

areas, and with colour not unlike the rich green of Welsh

slate it is a fantastic option which can be continued

outside, as it is available 25mm thick for paving.

Multi Coloured Slate is the most interesting of our

slate range with darker greens and browns and a hint

of rustyness it creates a real traditional feel, whilst

still being a distinctly modern look when used in a

contemporary space.

Black Slate is the darkest of our entire range, and its

consistent dark colouring will enrich an area. It is a

very clean and modern looking stone and can be used

for both internal and external applications as it is also

available in a thicker paving format at 25mm thick.

With its lightly riven surface and square, clean cut edges, slate as an internal tile has been used for decades.

As a tile slate is easy to care for, requiring sealing on installation, often with a colour enhancer to lift the colours, the layered structure is extremely hard wearing and laid correctly will long outlast virtually any modern reproduction.

Solid Oak is best used as a solid floor glued directly to a substrate, or nailed in the

traditional fashion, and can be sanded a number of times over it’s lifespan, saving you

money on what otherwise could be the replacement of an entire floor. It is also one of

the few materials that will age gracefully, with a timeless look that will never go out of

fashion or off trend.

All of our Oak flooring is ABC graded and is interesting grained and with occasional

knots and imperfections as you would expect, it is naturally beautiful and will really

enhance any space in to which it is used.

Sourced Directly from the manufacturer in China our oak is perfect for use in open plan kitchen diners and living spaces. Oak as a flooring material is hugely versatile, it is low maintenance, hygienic and can work well in both traditional and modern developments. Oak is one of the most widely used materials and historically has been utilised for its extreme longevity of life and ease of installation.

With all our Oak flooring it is advisable to store the wood indoors a minimum of 2 weeks prior to use to allow for aclimatisation.

We also stock a range of other engineered flooring which includes:-• White washed Oak

Indian Sandstone Paving

Calibrated Hard wearing, lightly riven and naturally beautiful, our Indian Sandstone Paving is ideal for any patio, path or driveway. Sourced directly from the quarries in India, each paving slab has its own unique qualities and patternation. Calibrated to 22mm these slabs are consistant in thickness to help achieve a level patio. All of our Sandstone Paving is available by the square meter and in a mixture of 4 sizes only.

Raj Blend is probably the most widely known colour for sandstone and is therefore extremely popular. It has a

autumnal range of colours with greens and browns and will suit almost any application whether large commercial

area or small courtyard.

Mint Fossil is the lightest of our

sandstone with light Beige and

occasional Orange tones as well as

the occasional ‘fossil’ markings. Often

used in more enclosed areas to enhance

natural light, it is also ideal for large

patios where subtle colour variations

are important

Raveena is one of our more interesting

sandstones. Predominantly grey

in background colour, it has highly

interseting patterns and swirls of

pinks and purple, and beautiful bands

of colour. It is the ideal choice for

small patios as each slab has its

own unique characteristics. Likewise

though on larger areas, when wet

your whole patio will ‘come alive’ as

the patterning is highlighted.

warmer colour options, giving

a vibrant feeling with its light

Distinctive unique swirls

Yellow a popular choice and

it is often used against Red

brick walls and houses as a

complimetary colour.

Rippon Buff is probably

the most varied of our

sandstones with colouring

Browns and yellows, and

with some light patterning

throughout. Often used on

larger areas as it gives a

nice blend of colour and is

at its best when seen in large

Storm Grey is the most

consistent of our sandstone

paving with a strong grey

colouring and only very subtle

variation from slab to slab.

It tends to be less riven than

other coloured sandstone due

to its density, which makes it a

perfect choice for heavy traffic

areas. Storm Grey is one of

our more ‘traditional’ colours

Modak is one of our warmest

colours and adds a luxurious

Indian Sandstone Paving

TumbledOur range of tumbled sandstone is available in both Mint Fossil and Raj Blend, and is a real compliment to our standard paving range. Tumbled Paving is ideal when consistent surface finish is required giving a softer feeling overall.

Tumbled to give a smoother and generally

more consistent finish, these paving

stones are ideally suited when a more

weathered look is sought.

Also the ‘softer’ feel to the surface of

these slabs is ideal around swimming

pool and the like when a more gentle

feeling underfoot is required.

Raj Blend tumbled

Rainbow Sawn Sandstone is

paving types, with intense swirls

and veins and a bright purple and

orange colouring it will really stand

Indian Sandstone

Circles & SettsHard wearing, lightly riven and naturally beautiful, our Indian Sandstone Circles are an ideal feature in a patio or terrace, or used as a stand alone feature in any garden. Sourced directly from the quarries in India, each paving slab has its own unique qualities and patternation. Our non-calibrated sandstone paving comes in slightly varied thickness around 25-35mm.

Mint Fossil is the lightest of our sandstone with

light Beige and occasional Orange tones as

well as the occasional ‘fossil’ markings. Often

used in more enclosed areas to enhance natural

light, it is also ideal for large patios where subtle

colour variations are important.

Raj Green is probably the most widely known

colour for sandstone and is therefore extremely

popular. It has a autumnal range of colours with

greens and browns and will suit almost any

application whether a large commercial area

or small courtyard. Often used as a closely

coloured alternative to Reclaimed York Stone,

Raj Green is everything that you would expect

sandstone to be.

Indian Limestone Paving

With a lightly textured surface not unlike orange peel, Limestone has a clean modern look to it with neater edges than other naturally split flagstone paving. Often used where a smoother finish is required, Limestone paving slabs have a more glassy structure, making them very strong and durable. Sourced directly from the quarries in India, our limestone comes in mixed sizes and is available by the square metre, and has a thickness of around 25-35mm.

Black Limestone is a popular choice, particulalry in heavily

planted gardens as the dark slabs offer a contrast to floral

areas and turf. With a colour that unless sealed soon after

installation, will gently fade to a charcoal grey, it is very

distinctive and will create a modern look. Black Limestone

is also commonly used around ponds and water features to

‘frame’ areas of interest.

Yellow Limestone is becoming one of the more popular

choices for paths and patios, with its soft blend of greens

and darker yellows yet still keeping a smooth surface. There

is a subtle colour variation on each individual slab, but it’s

one for those requiring greater consistency than that of the

Raj Green.

Slate Paving

With its lightly riven yet smooth surface, as well as being extremely hard wearing and durable, slate is a popular choice as a patio surface. Available in a mix of 3 sizes it is commonly laid in rows with staggered joints at 400mm wide to achieve a traditional coursed appearance, not unlike brickwork. Often used in courtyard areas and for pathways, slate brings a traditional feel with a modern twist.

Our slate is sourced directly from the manufacturers in China where it is gauged for thickness and where necessary backed off to 25mm giving it very good consistency on thickness.

Black SlateBlack Slate Paving is the darkest of our

entire range, and its colouring will never

significantly fade. It is a very clean and

modern looking stone and can be used for

both internal and external applications as it

is also available in a thinner tile format at

12mm thick.

Green Slate is probably the most vibrant of the slate

range, with a subtle blend of strong greens it will

suit a darker area and works very well against timber

structures too. Used frequently to add a lively twist in

living areas, and with colour not unlike the rich green

of Welsh slate it is a fantastic option which can be

continued outside, as it is available 25mm thick for

paving.

Rusty Slate Paving is one of the more interesting

paving stones with its unique patterning and vibrant

colours. Quite often used for more rural properties and

increasingly used when going straight through from

inside to out.

Travertine Paving

Classic Travertine PavingHaving started as a material used only for sculptures and ornate mouldings, Travertine as paving hasn’t been around for all that long but in the last few years it has become one of the more widely used. From country conversions to super modern it can not only fit in, but transform an area with its unique patternation and clean lines.

Our Travertine paving comes direct from the quarries in Turkey and is all calibrated to a thickness of 30mm available in several size options.

Classic Travertine Paving is the lightest of our range, with a

pale background colour and interesting patterns each stone

is unique. Used often to create a modern finish due to its

straight cut, crisp edges it can be used to flow an internal

area to outdoors when used in conjunction with Interior

Travertine Tiles, quite often through patio doors.

Classic Tumbled Travertine Paving is the more natural of

our Travertine paving range, with a soft, smooth finish

and slightly round edges it has a classic look about it

that you might expect from a mediterranean material. Its

slightly paler colouring means it isn’t as patterned as the

other Travertines yet still remains to be one of the most

decorative paving options.

In the case of made-to-measure or special order Goods, because the Goods are made to the Buyer’s specific requirements or incur additional cost by the Seller in acquiring them, the Buyer is not able to cancel an Order once it is made and/or the Seller has placed an order itself for non-stock products. If an Order requires the Seller to provide made-to-measure Goods, the Seller shall make those Goods according to the measurements provided to it by the Buyer. The Buyer should make sure that its measurements are correct and accurate. The Seller cannot accept the return of made-to measure Goods if the reason for the return is because the Buyer provided the Seller with incorrect measurements. This does not affect the Buyer’s legal rights as a consumer in relation to made-to-measure Goods that are faulty or not as described. The Buyer can find advice about its legal rights at its local Citizen’s Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.

4. Price of GoodsThe price of the Goods will be the Seller’s published price in force at the date of acceptance by the Seller of the Order. Where a quota-tion has been provided by the Seller the prices stated will be valid for a maximum of 30 days. All prices are subject to VAT at the current rate and do not include delivery costs which will be added to the total amount due from the Buyer. The Seller’s prices may change at any time, but price changes will not affect Orders that the Seller has confirmed to the Buyer when accepting an Order. It is always possible that, despite the Seller’s best efforts, some of the Goods the Seller supplies may be incorrectly priced. The Seller will normally check prices as part of its dispatch procedures and if the Good’s correct price is higher than the price stated on the Seller’s website, the Seller will contact the Buyer to inform it and request it instructions on whether it wishes to proceed with the Order at the correct price. If a pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by the Buyer as a mispricing, the Seller will not have to provide the Goods to the buyer as the incorrect (lower) price.

5. Payment and InterestPayment shall be due at the time the Order is placed unless the Buyer is an account holder with the Seller in which case payment is due within 30 days of the date of the Seller’s invoice. No payment shall be deemed to have been received until the Seller until all funds are cleared. If the Buyer does not make payment when due, the Seller may charge interest to the Buyer on the overdue amount (such interest shall accrue on a daily basis from the date when payment becomes due until the date of actual payment of the overdue amount) at the rate of 4 % per annum above the Bank of England base rate from time to time in force. Such interest shall accrue after as well as before any judgment. The Buyer must pay the Seller interest together with any overdue amount. If the Buyer disputes an invoice in good faith and contacts the Seller to let it know that it is disputing an invoice promptly after receiving it, the Seller agrees not to charge interest (in accordance with the above) for the period of the dispute. The Buyer shall pay all accounts in full and not exercise any rights of set-off or counter-claim against invoices submitted by the Seller.
