materiale visco-elastico del materasso Memoform. Ogni materiale utilizzato

viene accuratamente testato e sottoposto a controlli severissimi per garantire

resistenza, durata nel tempo e rispetto per l’ambiente.

Ecco l’importanza della nostra garanzia di resistenza CATAS, comprovata

da un severissimo torture test.

L’imbottitura è invece costituita da un pannello composto da cotone o lana

con densità variabile da 500gr a 1000gr al mq, mentre le certifi cazioni

Euro Latex Standard e Oeko-Tex Standard certifi cano che i materiali utilizzati,

dalla schiuma di lattice al materiale visco-elastico, non contengono sostanze

nocive per l’uomo.

Il materasso è disponibile con un lato in cotone e un lato in lana

oppure con entrambi i lati in cotone.

Il rivestimento è trattato antimacchia Tefl on® ed è totalmente impermeabile,

permettendo l’eliminazione di possibili macchie con un semplice colpo

di spazzola o con un panno pulito. È inoltre dotato di maniglie sui lati lunghi

per facilitare lo spostamento del materasso.

Materials that make the difference.

Flou mattresses have been developed and manufactured to provide you

with superior wellness, night after night. Flou achieves this result

by selecting only materials of the very highest quality.

From natural latex foam to the innovative visco-elastic material

of the Memoform mattress. Each material used is carefully tested

and subjected to severe controls to ensure resistance, duration over time

and respect for the environment. This can be observed in our CATAS

resistance warranty, verifi ed by a severe torture test.

The padding consists of a panel of cotton or wool with a density that varies

between 500 gr and 1000 gr/sq m, while the certifi cations

Euro Latex Standard and Oeko-Tex Standard certify that the materials used,

from latex foam to the visco-elastic material, do not contain any substances

toxic to Man. The mattress is available with one side in cotton and one side

in wool or alternately with both sides in cotton. The mattress cover has been

given a Tefl on® stain-proof treatment and it is totally impermeable, so that

any staining can be removed by brushing or by rubbing with a clean cloth.

The mattress is also fi tted with handles on the long sides to move

the mattress easily.

What are the important features of a good mattress? The quality

of the materials used and the way these are assembled determine

the duration of the mattress comfort levels and its ergonomic

support. For this reason, Flou has always created products

with industrial technology (using the very highest production

standards) in conjunction with artisan care and attention: in the

factory, our staff follows the production step-by-step with maximum

attention paid to every detail and with processing times

and production investments typical of the artisan realities.

All the mattresses that carry the Flou brand are wholly manufactured

in the company’s Italian factory in Meda, north of Milan. This is Made

The hardness of the mattress is an important element for the body’s wellness.

What are the features of the ergonomically optimal bed?

It is the perfect combination of the base and its mattress: structurally

safe and with maximum comfort. If the mattress is excessively soft,

the vertebral column will tend to curve downwards; on the other

hand, if the mattress is excessively hard, the back will be forced into

Periodically turn the mattress from head to foot and raise

it up from its support. This straightforward simple operation

will encourage transpiration and contribute to preserve

the materials used in the production of the mattress.

We would like to remind those who select the natural

comfort of latex that it is particularly important to rotate

the mattress from head to foot on a weekly basis

and to raise it frequently from its support. In this case,

the use of any electrical appliances that emit steam jets

is not recommended. And fi nally, don’t forget to protect

your mattress with one of the Flou mattress protectors.

There is a choice of towelling and pre-shrunk cotton ticking.

Both versions are available in 9 widths of between

85 and 200 cm.

The pocket springs system seals each

spring in a single pouch allowing them

to be compressed in proportion

to the specifi c pressure exerted.

The movement of each spring is free and

autonomous. The springs structure consents

the compression of the springs as a function of the different

localized pressure from the body, leaving the backbone perfectly

straight and guaranteeing total adaptability of the surface

to the body shape. The high concentration of springs is the main

feature of this mattress: almost twice as many as found

THREE-ZONE POCKET SPRINGS.

To encourage perfect adaptation to the body’s anatomy, springs

are split into three zones: 240 non-tempered springs in the area

around the bed-head, 264 tempered springs - stiffer - in the central

zone and further 240 non-tempered springs in the area around

the foot of the bed in a cm 170x200 mattress. Depending on your

specifi c requirements, you can choose between two mattresses

of different hardness.

The latex foam, a natural substance, is a white

emulsion found in certain cells (rubber-producing)

of numerous plants. Our wholly latex produced

mattresses are characterized

by an inter-communicating open-cell structure that

guarantees the non-deformation of the mattress

in time, while the longitudinal perforations have been studied to ensure

transpiration of this material. Flexible and elastic, Flou latex mattresses

resist damage by impact, deformation and deterioration through age.

The latex mattress is also highly anti-allergenic and hygienic, in full

The combination of these two natural materials (the central layer

is in coconut fi bre and the outside layers are in latex) creates

The head is one of the most important parts of our body.

This is why it is equally important to ensure it rests properly. To satisfy

every type of rest, Flou has created a range of pillows in a variety of materials:

from the most classical fi lled with wool or goose-down to the more innovative

with adjustable fi lling, from the natural corn fi bre to the extraordinary

performance of Memoform.

From the classical goose-down duvet to those fi lled with natural

corn fi bre, to the antiallergenic Valtherm fi bre… All the Flou duvets

have been studied to create and maintain the ideal temperature,

for every season. In the event of intense cold it is possible to combine

two duvets of different weights to guarantee unbeatable warmth.

It can be described as the 4 seasons Duvet: a medium weight for fall

and spring and a light one for the summer. Handy poppers join

the two together. Available in all the different materials, it is ideal for

all the different seasons.

Valtherm fi bre duvet- Filled with a special differentiated density padding, it is highly transpiring, antiallergenic and moth-proof. Available in versions: summer (80 gr/sq m), winter (400 gr/sq m), 4 seasons (300 gr/sq m + 100 gr/sq m)

Goose-down duvet- This fi lling is plucked from under the bird’s neck (where the warmest and softest feathers are located). Moreover, all the feathers are hand-selected, grouped on the basis of weight and dimension, washed in SPA water and accurately sterilized.Available in versions: winter (180 gr/sq m), 4 seasons (160 gr/sq m + 100 gr/sq m)

Corn fi bre duvet- Respecting the highest ecological parameters, the fi lling of this duvet consists of a natural fi bre extracted from corn. Available in versions: 4 seasons (300 gr/sq m + 150 gr/sq m)

Hungarian goose down duvet- Extremely lightweight and soft, nothing compares to the quality and lightness of this duvet. All the feathers are plucked from the neck (the softest and most valuable part) of young Hungarian geese. Plucking is performed twice a year according to an ancient farming tradition that protects the life and the health of the bird. After being selected, the best feathers are subjected to a process of sterilization in SPA water prior to be inserted in the duvet treated against house-mite. Available in versions: winter (180 gr/sq m), 4 seasons (160 gr/sq m + 100 gr/sq m)

Bed-linen is not all the same. There are factors that determine the quality and the duration of the printed fabric. The Flou Center of Textile Research focuses exclusively on this area.

The fi rst step is to start with a top class fabric. This is why Flou selects

high quality cottons (American cotton 4/32 and Egyptian cotton satin 60).

Moving on to the dyeing phase, it should be pointed out that the depth

of the color and the beautiful hues in the Flou prints depend on the high

number of colors used (up to 18 or more). The resistance over time

is guaranteed by the discovery of Indantherene dyes, which bind

perfectly with the molecules of the fabric. And last but by no means least,

the printing and fi nishing system, a process similar to the one used

for photographic printing: the image appears only following

the development in a special machine called ‘2-phase’. All of these

procedures have been patented by Color System Mascioni®.
