Saving with Oorja (as compared to LPG) The energy content per kg of LPG is twice that of Oorja Biomass Pellets.
Hence, a 19.2 kg LPG cylinder is replaced by about 50kg of pellets.
The easy way to calculate savings is simply to compare the current LPG cylinder prices to the current cost of 50 kgs of pellets.
Note that some of the monthly savings may be used to pay for a nominal rental for the stoves.
