Untaught Features:

1. Blinking of buttons/texts to grab attention of the

user.

2. The List indicator is employed with incorporating

accurate expression that would depict the start of

all the five drills within the machine. The current

state would be highlighted on the list.

3. Animation parameters like horizontal

position,visibilty are employed to show the

movement of the part nest from the operator to

the robot and vice – versa. 4. Legends are used in the trending screen to keep

track of the torque values of all the drills

simultaneously. Thus, making the screen more

efficient, informative and visually appealing.

5. Use of 3-D button as E-stop on the auto – mode

screen.

6. Appropriate use of symbols like conveyor, parts

from the symbol libraries.

1.Main Control Screen

This screen includes all of the navigation buttons that the

application possesses. This screen opens at startup which

enables the opportunity to the operator to navigate to any of

the screens presented. It also enables the opportunity for the

maintenance and the management officials to login to the

system and check for their respective agendas.

2.Manual Control Display

This Screen contains all the operations to be taken place

in manual mode of the machine. It also includes status of

drills to which the operator does not have manual

control. On the Left side, there are push buttons which

performs specific tasks with their respective indicators on

the right side.

3.Auto - Mode Display

This screen is basically the main screen and shows all of

the necessary things required to be monitored when the

machine is switched to Auto – mode. It includes all of the

sensors, status indicator lists, animation, 3-D e- stop and

the Shutdown button.

4.Production Report Display

This screen incorporates the basic production parameters that

are shown with the help of numeric displays. A button is also

provided to the operator to reset the data for the next

shift/day.

5.Production Trend Pop-Up Display

This screen enables us to see the production trend

depending on the percentage of parts finished and rejected.

It makes it handy for the management to easily examine the

downward or upward slope of the products produced in a

specific period of time.

6.Settings Display

This screen navigates us to various pop-up screens where we

can change upper and lower limits of torques of all the drills

using ramp buttons.

7. Drill Setting Pop-up Display

This screen acts as a pop-up which is put on the settings screen.

Here, we can change the limits for torques for all the drills.

8.Trending Display

The trending screen shows the trend that is followed by the

torque values of all the drills using legends. With the help of

next pen, we can examine each value individually.

9. Alarm Status Display

The Alarm Status display depicts the list of all the alarms

presently triggered. With the help of the ramp buttons on the

right hand side, we can highlight the specific alarm of our

choice.

10. Alarm History Display

This screen contains the history of all the silenced and

acknowledged alarms. It helps us to know the exact time at

which any of the alarms got triggered.

11. Drill Status Pop – Up

This screen shows the status of all the drill’s operations

namely, waiting, torque passed and torque failed along

with the numeric values and the drill operation time side

by side.

12. Attention Pop- Up

This screen pop’s up when the rejected part’s percentage is

more than 50% of the total production.

The Settings and Manual screen is not available to the operator.

They are only available to users from maintenance (maint

{0000}) and management (manage{1111}). The production

trend pop-up is only available for management.

PLC CODE CHANGE:

Using e- stop within the first rung to deactivate the cycle.

Changing value of both the part nest extended and retracted

timer to 10000 ms for clear animation of the part on the

conveyor.
