On the early part of my job, I was as-signed to design executive’s office and supervisors’ offices including their comfort roomsfor Venture One Technical Of-fice Project. The fol-lowing days, the Head of ID Dept. handover me the Robinsons Movie-world’s Malabon, Isabela and Pala-wan Project. I used to enhance my AutoCAD
My OJT here at Jonathan O. Gan & Associates for Inte-rior Design Depart-ment/Category started on March 28, 2012 and will end on April 30, 2012. For the thir-teen (13) days that I’ve been working there, I can say that I am learning a lot of things… Not just in the field of Interior Design-ing but also what the “corporate life/real world” really is.

than working.
Now, I totally be-
lieve it. I’m not say-
ing that I won’t be
working in the fu-
ture, but I guess
I’m just not ready
yet. The “corporate
life/real world” is
very routinary…
And this
“corporate life/real
world” that we’re
living now involves
riding the dreaded
MRT every morn-
ing A mode of
transportation in
Manila where in
you ride a metal
contraption (aka
train) which very
much mimics a can
of sardines, the
only difference be-
tween the two: the
can of sardines
contains sauce. (I
actually think that
it’s very much ap-
propriate that the
ad printed on the
train should be
“Hakone” or “Ligo”
or something… just
kidding)). But I en-
joy working on

skills, design ideas
and knowledge
about materials. In
addition, in working I
was trained to be
punctual and open to
accept everyone’s
ideas. In terms of the
“corporate life/real
world” experience, I
can say that the
“student-petiks-lang-
life” is so much easier
and definitely a
whole lot more fun. I
really didn’t believe
the cliché that going
to school is better
The regular em-
ployees and the
other interns here
at Locsin Interna-
tional. Plus, the
most important on
taking my training
is the knowledge I
gain concerning
natural materials
used by their Fur-
niture Industry.
The quality of their
products not just
here in the Philip-
pines, but all over
There is some-
thing about the
“corporate life/real
world” that’s very
draining… Emo-
tionally, mentally,
and physically. I
don’t know why
but it just is. The
good thing about
work is the pay
(hahahaha) and of
course, the better
thing about it is
that i got to meet
new friends. Who?

I’m so glad that in
my small thing,
she appreciates
everyone’s works.
I finished my 50

me to come back

finish some pro-

really likes me.
Just kidding. :)
