Vice-Chancellor’s Message
It is with great pride and pleasure that I welcome you to Jamia Millia Islamia for the
Placement Programme of our outgoing Batch of M.A. Human Resource Management
students from the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Social Sciences.
The Department of Social Work is one of the leading departments of the University
and has been instrumental in nurturing Human Resource Professionals for the last
17 years. Since the inception of this course, the Department has consistently tried to
maintain high standards and rigour of its academic programme and has produced
first rate students. A course with limited intake, the M.A. Human Resource
Management Programme constantly strives to provide the best avenues to its
students and endeavours to broaden their horizons.
The M.A. Human Resource Management Programme at Jamia is unique: not only has
revolutionized the education of Human Resource Management through its
instructional methodologies but it also has managed to give due importance to
intensive internship. A student has to undergo for nearly 6 months over a period of
two years. The students, who have completed the M.A. Human Resource
Management programme in the past, have earned internships with some of the
leading companies in the country, which has equipped them adequately to deal with
upcoming challenges in their field.
I am confident that the current batch of M.A. Human Resource Management
students will continue to uphold the high standards that the university stands for
and will go on to contribute meaningfully to their fields. It is also my hope that not
only will they be innovative in their approach to the task at hand but will also go on
to become leaders of tomorrow and bring laurels to the organization they join.
It is my privilege to welcome you and your organization to participate in our
Placement Programme and I am sure our association will go a long way in
