Fire classification for Fibo Kitchen Board: D-s1.d0 – (Equivalent In2) - = Combustible material.Classification standard: EN 13 501-1.The requirement from Nemco for stoves in Norway is that they do not produce more heat than 80° C againstcombustible materials/back wall. If more heat is produced, a fire protective panel must be used on the wall.

We do not recommend using aluminium decors behind a stove,as these are more susceptible at high temperatures.

INSTALLATION OF KITCHEN BOARD WITH BASE STRIP
Adjust the base strip to the desiredlength. Spread joint sealant alongthe underside of the strip
Measure the area and perform alignment/centering of the panels, also alignment relative to the top cabinetif necessary. If mounting is done onto a brick wall, it must be pre-drilled and plugged. Joists should be locatedand used. It is recommended to use gloves during installation, as there may be sharp edges.
Make a recess in the strip for thescrew head so that the panel slidessmoothly into the strip. Screw thebase strip tightly to the wall.
Click the adjusted panels togetherbefore affixing to the wall.
Spread joint sealant at the bottomof the strip.
Raise the joined panels up and setthem in the base strip. Wipe awayany excess joint sealant.
Screw the panels tightly at top andsides. To avoid damaging the outersurface, it is recommended thatyou pre-drill the panels.
Top strips and side strips areenclosed and adjusted, sealant isapplied and then they are mounted.Spread sealant along the base strip
Done!
INSTALLATION WITHOUT BASE STRIP
Measure the area and perform alignment/centering of the panels, also alignment relative to overhead cabinet(s)if necessary. If mounting is done on tiles or thin panels, the supporting framework must be localized.
There must be a distance of0,07-0,11 inches from the countertop up to the bottom of the panel edge.
The panels are fastened withscrews in the marked track.
Before installation, holes mustbe pre-drilled in the laminateto avoid damaging the panel.Screw securely to the edge.
Finally, the gap between the countertop and the panels should be sealed. Excess sealant should be cleaned with Fibo Clean and a joint sealant tool.
Click the panels into place.
After pre-drilling and recessing,the last panel is screwed in place.The screw should be covered bythe side strip.
It is recommended to use sealantbetween panels behind a sink. Tobe applied before clicking themtogether.
