FDR - Ninja Assassin

SCENE - EXT., ABANDONED STREET - NIGHT

Two men have a quiet conversation in the streetlight. A cold

wind ruffles the bottom of their coats.

--FLASH OF BLACK, DRUM/BASS BEAT--

Man 1 closes his coat around him, bracing against the cold.

The only sound is the wind.

MAN 1

We’re gonna have to keep this

quiet.

MAN 2

The boss doesn’t know, and he won’t

know. Guy’s clueless.

--FLASH OF BLACK W/ DRUM/BASS BEAT--

MAN 1

Let’s just get this over with.

--FLASH OF BLACK W/ DRUM/BASS BEAT, BACK TO MEN--

The men reach into their coat pockets.

But suddenly, Man 1 hears something.

MAN 1

(in a whisper)

What was that?

In the distance, the faint sound of a squeaking wheel, draws

closer and closer.

MAN 2

(in a whisper)

Oh my god.

The squeaking grows faster, louder.

MAN 1

He sent... him.

Silence.

An animal growl, and FDR is upon the men, in wheelchair and

ninja gear. He deftly slashes their knees with a samurai

sword.

Music ramps up.

HIT BLACK SCREEN

SUPER [Hits with a bang]: THIS SUMMER

EXT., SIDEWALK - MORNING

Two police examine the sidewalk.

POLICEMAN 1

He doesn’t leave any footprints.

I’ve never seen anything like it.

Camera zooms behind policemen and down to sidewalk level,

close-up on wet wheelchair tire marks that have gone

unnoticed.

HIT BLACK SCREEN

SUPER [Hits with a bang]: THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO FEAR

INT., HOUSE - NIGHT

Man walks through dark house. A reflection in the shadows

catches his eye.

The tips of FDR’s feet peek out. His hands slowly come out

of the shadows and pull his feet into the shadow, one by

one.

MAN

(afraid)

No...

HIT BLACK SCREEN

SUPER [Hits with a bang]: IS HIM.

BEGIN MONTAGE, QUICK CUTS

A bad guy runs down stairs. FDR, at the top of the stairs,

dives out of his chair.

FDR swings from a rope. His wheelchair falls out from under

him.

FDR crashes into a beautiful woman who lands on his lap.

FDR is tied up, stoic, while a bad guy burns his feet.

FDR pops a wheelie and swings a stick over his head.

POLICEMAN 1

I can’t stop him!

MAN BEHIND BARS

...Really?

QUICKER CUTS

FDR wraps a choke wire around someone’s mid-section.

FDR karate chops a man’s groin.

FDR karate chops another man’s groin.

FDR rolls over someone’s foot. And then karate chops his

groin.

Screaming face.

Beautiful woman face.

Policeman crying.

FDR pushes a button.

Exploding house.

HIT BLACK SCREEN

SUPER [hits with a bang, music stops]: FDR: NINJA ASSASSIN

SCENE - EXT., SHADOWY CARPORT - NIGHT

A boss-man pleads for his life.

BOSS

Please. I thought we had a deal.

FDR raises his head. We see his eyes for the first time,

intense, full of rage.

FDR

(in a growled whisper)

New deal.

FDR lunges out of his chair with an echoing growl.
