• He also alongside William Eggleston proved that color images could be considered a work of art.
Shore is known for his work of documentary work and some might even call it fine art however on first sight it doesn’t look so because when compared to Jeff Wall’s dead troops talk, which you can tell is fine art because of all the work that went into making the photo, while Shore’s documentary style is different because of his work with color photography.
William Eggleston
• William Eggleston born on the 27th of July 1939, He alongside Stephen Shore were majorly credited for making color images in to mainstream art.
• Since he was a small boy he was very interested in Audio Technology. • Eggleston’s enthusiasm lead him to having a unique ability of striking
displays of color. Eggleston is known for his work in Documentary and fine art even
though his work is much different to Shore because Eggleston simply just took a photo and another without any change to the composition, Shore took a while to take one photo, also because Eggleston mainly took photo’s of uneventful things with one of his most famous photo’s just being a red roof with white wires across it.

http://www.pimall.com/nais/pivintage/durocamera.html • the camera is called Daguerreotype, which mainly took large format. Nadar was known for his portrait photo’s, while some of his other work he

Crimean War
• Most images during the Crimean War were taking by Roger Fenton who during the
1850’s was sent to the Crimean war to take former negative to illustrate the art of war in which he suffered from cholera, several broken ribs. Fenton also to avoid any Problems with people he did not take images of dead or injured soldiers. During the war he still produced 350 images 312 of which made it in a number of galleries, he was also one of the first war photographers.
• Tim used a twin lens reflex camera which took medium sized photos the color of the photo represents the time period in which the photo was taken which shows that when
Crimean War
the photo was taken technology was not at it’s high with very little technology being available to take photos with which indicates that the image was posed. Most photo’s taken during the war were documentary photo’s because they were showing what was happening to people during the war and the out come it had on people.
Tim Born
• Tim Page born 1944 in Kent and several images of his work have been put as the main
exhibition of many art galleries, he is also well known for creating many well known books in the past
• Page was well known for being a risk taker via the fact that he always out himself into Dangerous situations, many believe this is because of his past which involved drugs and many near death experiences which he believes was the main reasons he took photos during the war indicating that he didn’t have any fear The costume via the uniform and gun indicates that he is a soldier in which you think he is normal until, the image Above shows a depressed man almost looking ashamed as if he has done something wrong and also the gun at his side could also indicate how vulnerable he is which alongside his uniform you would think was weird as he is to be thought as a strong figure. Page at the time used a 35mm camera, as it was easier to use in a war in which there was always an opportunity to take a photo. Also compared to Jeff Wall’s war image this seems more realistic as Jeff’s had a lot of things happening in just one image which showed that it was all made up whereas Tim used simple yet affective poses to illustrate peoples emotion’s. Page was known for his well-‐known portraits, which illustrated the situation during the Crimean war and showed how people were responding to the action going on with many image’s in fact showing depression.
