Elizabeth I

Elizabeth I was born on 7 September 1533 at Greenwich Palace, near London.She was Henry VIII's daughter. Her mother was Anne Boleyn, she was beheaded.

She was Queen of England and Queen of Ireland from 1558 to her death.She became Supreme Governor of the Church of England. She never married and the Tudor dynasty ended with her.

She was called the Virgin Queen.She was charismatic.Her reign was called the Elizabethan era. She liked drama and she saw some of Shakespeare's plays. She died in 1603 in the Palace of Richmond, in England.

He was born in Hodgenville in Kentucky in 1809.

He died in Washington DC in 1865.

He was the 16th president of the USA. He is famous because he preserved the union after the Civil War, abolished slavery and modernized the economy.

Thomas Alva Edison was born on 11 February, 1847. He died on 18 October, 1931. He was an American inventor and businessman.

He developed many devices that greatly influenced life around the world, including the phonograph, the motion picture camera, and an electric light bulb.

Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein was born in Germany in Ulm on March 14, 1879.He died on April 18, 1955 in Princeton, USA.He was an "average" pupil but already very early interested in science and mathematics.

He received the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1921.

He left Nazi Germany in 1932 and went to Princeton. He wrote a letter to Franklin D. Roosevelt, the president of the United States of America, to tell him about the danger of atomic weapons. In 1946 he proposed a world government in which he saw the only way to achieve continuous peace.

Charlie Chaplin

Charles Spencer Chaplin was born on April 16 1889 in London.He died on December 25 1977 in Switzerland in Corsier-sur-Vevey.He was an actor, a composer and a film director.He's one of the greatest actors in the world.

He gradually developed his character, a poor man with a bowler hat and a cane, making him evolve from the lively and comical stereotype to a more and more complex person who, still remaining comic, took a melodramatic dimension.

Rosa Parks

Rosa Louise McCauley Parks, or Rosa Parks, was called "the first lady of civils rights".

She was born on 4 february 1913 in Tuskegee in Alabama. She died on 24 october 2005 in Detroit in Michigan. So, she was American. She was an seamstress. But one day, her life changed. It was in December.

Parks refused to obey a bus driver's order to give up her seat in the colored section to a white passenger. She was arrested.

African-American leaders decided to boycott the city buses.

The boycott continued for 381 days! Finally, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the segregation laws in Alabama were unconstitutional.

Rosa Parks won and her friends won !She's the woman in the picture in black and

Marilyn Monroe

Norma Jean Baker, who is known under the name Marilyn Monroe, was an American actress, model and singer who was born on June 1 1926. She married the baseball player Joe Di Maggio and divorced a few months later.

She played in successful comedies and other movies.

She sang Happy Birthday to President JF Kennedy in 1962. Some people say they had a love affair.

She died on August 5 1962 at the age of 36, from an overdose of sleeping pills, possibly a suicide.

Neil Alden ArmstrongNeil Alden Armstrong was born on August 5August 5thth 1930 1930 in Wapakoneta (Ohio, USA).

He died on August 25August 25thth 2012 2012 in Cincinnati (Ohio, USA).

He was an American astronaut, a test pilot, an aviator in the US Navy and a teacher.

He's famous because he was the first man who walked on the moon on July 21July 21stst 1969 1969, during the mission Apollo 11.

Michael Jackson

He tragically died on June 25, 2009 in Los Angeles at the age of 50: Michael Jackson will forever be known as The King of Pop. Born in 1958, in a family of nine children, Michael Jackson was the greatest showman of the late 20th century. Singer, musician, songwriter and dancer, Michael Jackson began his career at the age of 5, within the family group the Jackson Five. He began his solo career in 1971. All of his albums have been successful, including "Thriller," "Bad," "Invincible," "Dangerous". Michael Jackson sold up to 800 million albums. The life of the King of Pop was a disaster, especially marked by child abuse accusations. I'm a very big fan of Michael Jackson and you ? ∞
