MUSIC TOGETHERThis is the essential Music Together® class. 45-minute classes include songs, rhythmic rhymes, movement, and instrument play.

MOMMY & ME YOGAClasses offer poses that encourage and support physical exploration and self-expression. We will explore breathing techniques and yoga poses through creative storytelling, playful exercises, and fun music.

STRETCH-N-GROW FUNTASTIC FITNESSEach week your child will be work-ing on their gross motor skills using colorful age-appropriate equipment and up-beat music. Running, jump-ing, balancing, and throwing are just some of the skills we focus on.

ART WITH AUDREYThis is a fun and creative class for artists and their caregivers! Young artists and adults will explore and discover the art process together through paint, clay, pastels and more to create their own masterpieces.

MOMMY & ME BALLETParents and toddlers come ready to dance as we warm up together, pretend to be princes and princess-es, build strength and flexibility, and learn very basic dance vocabulary. This class is a great precursor to our Princess Ballet classes.

MOMMY & ME DANCEThis high energy class uses elements of dance to stimulate coordination, balance, music interpretation, motor development, and creative move-ment. We encourage imagination and energy along with the use of props.

RELEVÉ DANCE

BALLETStudents will build off the five posi-tions, master plié variations and tendus, among other level-appropriate skills.

BALLET FOR FIGURE SKATERSDancers will increase flexibility and strengthen muscles and core to increase power and learn to control their movements on the ice.

CONTEMPORARYContemporary dance is a fusion of all styles- ballet, jazz, lyrical, and modern.

CREATIVE MOVEMENTDancers will learn to use expres-sions of the body and face while they dance and learn awareness of their body movements.

DRUM BEATZIn this exciting high-energy dance and rhythm program, the powerful beat and rhythms of the drums are combined with a specially-choreo-graphed dynamic routine to beat out pulsating rhythms!

HIP HOP & BOYZ HIP HOPStudents will learn movements that have elements of poppin’, locking, and break dancing, as well as free-style movement to give students the opportunity to develop their own sense of style.

JAZZ FUSIONThis upbeat class is a combination of Jazz and Hip Hop.

JUST DANCEThis fun class combines elements of hip hop and jazz and will concen-trate on fitness, technique, termi-nology, and choreography.

KIDZ BOPSet to the tune of the popular Kidz Bop series of music, students will learn beginning jazz and hip hop techniques and routines.

LEAPS AND TURNSWe will focus on turns such as chaine, pique, pirouette and vari-ations of all of the above. We will also progress from basic leaps and jumps such as grand jeté and sauté to advanced leaps and jumps.

MUSICAL THEATRE DANCEStudents will learn age-appropriate songs and choreography from their favorite musicals.

LYRICALLyrical dance is a dance style that blends ballet and jazz dance. Dancers use movement to express strong emotions as they perform to music with lyrics.

POP & LOCKAnimation, tutting, and gliding are just a few of the popping variations you will learn in this exciting dance class!

PRINCESS ART/ TOT HOPWe start in a princess themed art class for 50 minutes. After a 10 minute snack / water break, we will switch into our gym shoes to shake it in TOT HOP!

PRINCESS BALLETIn this unique class, students will en-hance their balance & poise as well as hand/feet coordination through basic ballet skills. At the end of class, we will dress up and dance at the Magic Ball with all our favorite Princesses!

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCEDancers will have a blast learning new genres every two weeks. Ballet, Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz, Salsa, Poms are just some of the styles your dancer will get to experience.

STOMP SQUADJoin us as we stomp, clap, tap and snap our way through class. We’ll use non-traditional instruments such as buckets, newspapers, and trash cans.

TECHNIQUE TRIODuring this technique class, we will spend 1/3 of the class working on each genre: hip hop, jazz and con-temporary dance.

TOT HOPDancers will learn fun pre-hip hop moves and combinations, performed to their favorite music.

TUTUS & TENNIS SHOESYoung dancers learn a basic introduction to ballet technique and freestyle Hip-Hop.

PERFORMING ARTS (THEATRE & MUSIC)

ACTION HEROESThis class will focus on learning the stories of our favorite heroes and putting them together on the stage for a short 5-10 minute performance at the end of the session.

BROADWAY BOUNDUsing teamwork, theatre games, technique exercises and imaginative play, we will work together to cre-ate a mini-musical for our families. This fall, we will find a home for an orphan looking for a family in the heart of New York City.

BROADWAY STARS: ANNIE KIDSWe introduce beginning actors to the ins and outs of being in a show while providing new instruction for more seasoned performers. Our Broadway Stars show is perfect for those who love to move, sing, and be a part of something fantastic!

CENTER STAGE: LEGALLY BLONDE, JR.Join us for a fun and high-energy rockin’ musical! We will focus on singing, dancing, and scene work, all while building stage presence and technique.

GUITAR STARSThe children will learn the fundamentals of guitar playing, including holding the guitar and pick, proper fret-hand finger position, sight reading, playing by ear and playing basic songs.

IMPROV COMEDY: LIVE ON STAGEImprovisation is the art of acting without a script. Students will learn to think on their feet, work with others, and have a great time.

MOVIE MUSICStudents will learn the fundamentals of music and singing set to the tune of some of their movie favorites! Each week, students will sing and dance along to a new song.

MUSIC MAKERSExplore the wonderful world of mu-sic! Students are introduced to the concepts of rhythm and musicality through focused listening, instru-ments, and expressive movement to create their own music in class!

PLAYMAKERSTake away song and dance, and it’s time to really focus on acting. This class is per-fect for the performers who love being onstage without putting on their dancing shoes or singing a tune.

ROCK BANDStudents will learn the skills neces-sary for playing and performing with other musicians. Children must have prior experience in their instrument. Accepted instruments include guitar, bass, drums, piano, and vocals.

SHOW CHOIR: ROOTZ ROCKAPELLAStudents will have the chance to be part of a singing and dancing performance group! Working with a director and/or choreographer, students will learn showtunes, jazz standards, and even pop songs.

SOLO SINGINGWhether it’s wanting to prepare for upcoming auditions, shows, or just plain old fun, Solo Singing will give students an opportunity to work on songs to sing by themselves with guidance from their Rootz director and fellow classmates.

STORYBOOK THEATREOur youngest performers create and become the characters in exciting stories brought to life. Using clas-sic stories and nursery rhymes, this introductory class introduces young children to the magic of theatre.

ENRICHMENTSSUPERHEROESIn this class, your child and fellow superheroes will help save the world in this interactive and high-energy class through cooperative games, team building skills, literature, projects, and more.

TRANSPORTATIONRootz offers transportation services from area schools through Uber. A consistent Rootz staff member will ride with the students from school to Rootz.

TUMBLINGThe tumbling program strives to train and educate students how to safely and correctly perform and advance their tumbling skills. The athlete will condition and learn body control as well as learn the correct technique for handstands, cartwheels, round offs, bridges, backbends, kickovers, and back walkovers.

TUMBLING TOTSThis class is a gentle introduction to gymnastics in a classroom setting! We will pull out the mats to learn cool new acrobatic skills while at the same time develop motor coordination.

YOGAJoin us on a yoga journey that your child will never forget! We will use breathing techniques, learn yoga poses, increase flexibility and strength, develop coordination, and explore relaxation tools.

PLANES, TRAINS & AUTOMOBILESCome take a ride with us as we build train tracks, make dump trucks, and build flying machines. We combine art and dramatic play with this course designed to be your child’s first “away from mom” class.

PLAYING WITH FOOD: KIDS NUTRITIONYour child will gain information about healthy foods while touching, chop-ping, tossing and decorating food items. Join Yvonne Katz, Kids Nutri-tion Specialist, in a journey to create a colorful meal while measuring, scoop-ing, blending and dissecting interest-ing fruits and vegetables!

PROJECT RUNWAYDesigners in Training will enjoy learn-ing the foundations of fashion design & construction. Students will love creating wearable garments via the sewing machine and hand sewing!

READING ROOKIES PRE-KStudents learn the skills they need to become confident readers and spellers. Specifically, the classes fo-cus on improving phonemic aware-ness and phonics skills.

ROOTZ & WINGZRootz & Wingz is a kindergarten readiness enrichment program that reinforces concepts and prepares your child for academic success. Rootz & Wingz includes hands-on, multi-sensory experiences with STEM activities, language arts, pre-reading, and art.

SAFETY TOWNSafety Town is an interactive safety awareness program. We use fun songs to reinforce safety principles and may have some special community guests along the way! Topics vary and may include: pedestrian and traffic safety, fire prevention, personal safety, stranger safety, and more!

SPANISHHabla Espanol? Recent studies have shown that the brain is most recep-tive to learning a second language before the age of ten. Learning Spanish at an early age will benefit your child well into their future. Join us on a Spanish adventure!

STAY-N-PLAYAre you looking to extend your day? Stay-N-Play for even more fun. Students will enjoy a snack brought from home and have time to socialize and play games.

STICKY FINGERS COOKINGStudents will prepare and eat healthy, globally-inspired recipes all while loving and learning to cook in a fun, engaging, and irresistibly tasty way.

STRETCH-N-GROW FUNTASTIC FITNESSThis weekly early childhood physical education, nutrition and wellness pro-gram is an action-packed, non-stop fitness class for every child. Using skill-specific equipment and safe and effective exercises, Stretch-N-Grow improves fitness levels and teaches the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Elite Package 2018-2019 School Year ($360 per month)• Unlimited classes & programs for the entire 2018-2019 School Year.Includes transportation, break camps and school day off programs. Applicable to all programs with the exception of Dance Company. Elite Members save $300 off any Dance Company enrollment.
