Suffragists registering to vote for the first time in history in Travis County June 26, 1918. The
Texas Legislature had just approved women to vote in the primary elections, giving them one
month before the upcoming primary in July to register with a record 386,00 Texas women
signing up tov ote. Two years, later, women would be legally allowed to vote in all elections
