    PROGRAMME TITLE: Librarianship in an IB World School Target Audience:Library and Media Resource / Information ServicesStaff of Fairview Schools (M) Bhd.

    AIM:

    Enhance the professional skills of the Library and Media Resource Teachers and equipped them to effectively respond to the needs of theirrespective students and teachers. This programme is design in order to provide Library and Media Centre manpower that are able tosupport t he implementat ion of IB Programmes.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

    Library Resource Teachers will be able to:

    1. Share experiences and ac quire various st rategies, pract ices and new trends from other campus libraries.2. Create a well-defined common standard and system protocol.3. Update tec hnology skills in Library and Information Services .4. Develop a well-rounded schematic collection Blue-Print.5. Acquire basic strat egies in developing and c onducting an effect ive Library and Information Literacy Programme.6. Familiarize key areas and develop tec hnical skills to support Inquiry in various IB Programmes.
