My Technology Learning Cycle
• I am very comfortable with Excel and its various tools.
• I needed to increase my awareness of survey tools.Awareness
• Explored other past student Wikis for survey tools.
• I have used Survey Monkey once before…explored site and viewed tutorials.
Exploration & Filtration
• Learned by doing through trial and error.
• Refreshed my skills for analyzing data on Excel using “if/then” and “countif” formulas.
• Refreshed my skills on Excel Graph capabilities.
Learning
• Developed hypothesis for Facebook Engagement based on age.
• Developed prototype survey in Survey Monkey and tested on my wife.
• Revised Survey and posted on my fb wall as well as sending via email.
• Analyzed data and created graphs.
• Tested hypothesis.

Conclusions1.My hypothesis was not supported by the data. 2.Younger age category and over 50 had overall lower
Facebook Engagement than 30 to 49 age group.3.Females had significantly higher Facebook
Engagement than males.4. “Liking” comments and photos was the highest form
of Facebook Engagement.5.“Chatting” was the lowest form of Facebook
Engagement.
