Brass EnsembleMonday - 7.30-8.30am - Room 309 - Mr Hammil
The Brass Ensemble is a fun ensemble open to any student who plays a brass instrument (trumpet, trombone, french horn, tuba). The Brass Ensemble always delights with classics and show stoppers! It is expected that you would already be having lessons on your instrument and that you are able to read music.

Showa String EnsembleMonday - 7.30-8.30am - Room 310 - Mr Koh
This club is open to any string player (violin, viola, cello or double bass). Develop your technique further and participate in this group where you will be playing a range of challenging and satisfying repertoire. It is expected that you are having lessons on your instrument and that you are able to read music.

Close Harmony GroupMonday - 1.10-1.40pm - Room 309 - Mr Beston
Do you enjoy singing? Would you like to challenge yourself and be part of a small vocal group? We will focus on how to blend, harmonise and present stylish performances. Members of the group will choose which songs to sing and arrangements of them will be tailored to suit the members of the group.

Opus OrchestraTuesday - 1.10-2.00pm - Room 310 - Ms Danmeri
The Opus Orchestra is the main school orchestra that perform frequently throughout the school year. Join us if you play an orchestral instrument (including percussion) and enjoy the beautiful sound of playing as a large orchestra. We will be playing a range of challenging and fun repertoire throughout the year and will also be doing collaborations with the choir. Students should be having lessons on their instruments and be a minimum Grade 3 ABRSM (or equivalent) standard.

Guitar EnsembleWednesday - 7.30-8.30am - Room 310 - Mr Garcia
Do you already play the guitar and want to participate in an ensemble especially for the guitar? Come and join this club and improve your guitar and note reading skills, Students should be having lessons on the guitar and some experience of note reading.

Flute ChoirTuesday - 1.10-2.00pm - Room 309 - Ms Tochigi
If you already have experience playing the flute, this is a fun and challenging club for you to develop your skills further. The Flute Choir is a popular ensemble that plays a variety of repertoire and performs regularly at school concerts.

Advanced Aural & MusicianshipWednesday - 7.45-8.30am - Room 309 - Ms Danmeri
Are you taking your Grade 6+ ABRSM exams? Are you worried about the aural component of the exam? If so, this club can help build your confidence in your aural skills. Sessions will cover sight-seeing, recognising chords, cadences and modulations and identifying musical features. This club is also suitable for GCSE and AS/A2 Level Music students.

Jazz BandThursday - 3.30-4.30pm - Room 310 - Mr Beston
Come and be part of the Jazz Band! We will cover everything from Swing to Contemporary Jazz, with practical hints on how to improve your improvisation. Students should be at least Grade 2 ABRSM (or equivalent) on their instrument and vocalists are welcome. We are particularly looking for saxes, trumpets, trombones, bass, drums, piano and guitar.

KS3 ChoirWednesday - 1.10-2.00pm - Room 309 - Ms Coates-Jones
The KS3 Choir is a brand new club open to all boys and girls in Year 7-9. This club is for anyone who has a passion for singing. Come along and develop your singing skills in a fun and creative environment. Technical singing skills will be taught through modern and popular repertoire.

Full Scale ChoirFriday - 1.10-2.00pm - Room 309 - Mr Beston
The Full Scale Choir is open to any secondary student who enjoys singing. No prior experience is required. A range of music and repertoire will be covered throughout the year. The Full Scale Choir will also be performing throughout the year in a variety of concerts.
