EXPERIENTIAL OPTIONS Un-Religious 3 Weeks GAME IDEAS Timeline – Put six pictures from a particular category in chronological order. Ideas for picture categories: head shots of popular actors, junk foods, movie posters, popular toys, album covers from popular bands (the Beatles, Foo Fighters, Shania Twain, etc.), magazine covers (Time's Person of the Year, People's Sexiest Man Alive, etc.), newspaper headlines documenting important events, or television series to be listed in the order they premiered. The images are displayed in random order. Have students come up to place the photos in order. (This game illustrates putting things in the right order in our lives). “If You Ain’t First, You’re Last” – Play any game at all (game show, trivia, thumb wars, rock/paper/scissors, etc.). The main thing is to have prizes available. But here’s the twist: DO NOT give the prize to the winners of the games. Give the prizes to the losers or even middle finishers. Why, you ask? Because it’s a great visual illustration for grace, which is getting something good that you don’t deserve. Get it? Charades Play charades. Have students come up to act out specific things and/or have the audience act out specific things and have students up on stage guess what it is. (The point of this game is to live out and act out something without saying it). AESTHETICS/PRE-EXPERIENCE/SOCIAL MEDIA ACTIVITY Have different stations with different versions of the timeline game out in the lobby (for week 1). Give random people stuff (candy, pop, food, gift cards, etc.) out in the lobby—just because. (shows grace for week 2) Have students Instagram their Easter traditions (for week 2). Hold a good, old-fashioned Easter egg hunt (for week 2). Have students Instagram themselves doing what they love to do most (for week 3). Use hashtags: #lcswitch, #switchlc, #unreligious

Because it’s a great visual illustration for grace, which is getting something good that you don’t deserve. Get it?

Charades — Play charades. Have students come up to act out specific things and/or have the audience act out specific things and have students up on stage guess what it is. (The point of this game is to live out and act out something without saying it).
