The Etios Liva comes in 5 petrol and 5 diesel variants. All the variants have

manual transmission. The JPS petrol and the JD diesel are the base and the

TRD Sportivo petrol and the VXD diesel are the top variants. The Sportivo

variants are 490 mm longer than the rest. The variants are priced Rupees 5.0

to 7.21 lakh

The Etios Liva has the best looks among the Indian hatchbacks. The Liva has a

smooth body with a sleek chrome treated grille, body coloured bumpers,

ORVMs and door handles and fin shaped rear combination lamps. The

blackened out B pillar, chrome garnish on the boot lid and a foldable roof

antenna make the car sporty.

The Etios Liva has a luxurious cabin loaded with comfort and safety features.

The Sportivo variants have large leg room and shoulder room because of the

Engines and performance

The petrol variants of the Liva are powered by 1197 cc, 78 bhp and 104 NM

torque engines giving mileages of 15.5 to 17.71 kmpl. The diesel variants have

1364 cc, 67 bhp and 170 NM engines with mileages of 23.59 kmpl. The petrol

variants take 15 sec and the diesel ones 18 sec for 0 to 100 kmph acceleration

and the top speeds are 145 and 165 kmph respectively.

Braking and drive dynamics

The ventilated disc type front brakes and the drum type rear brakes along

with the ABS and EBD form an effective braking system. The minimum turning

circle is 4.8 m.
