How to Access Excel Help

• Step 1: Use the question mark in the upper right hand corner to access the “Excel Help.”

How to Use Keyboard Shortcuts

Step 3: Keyboard Access to the Ribbon:

• The Keyboard ribbon is designed to give you shortcuts for your top menu bar (Home,Page Layout, Formulas, etc.)• To activate the shortcuts press the ALT key on your keyboard

Shortcuts may Help When Creating Charts

• For Example: ALT + N = Insert without having to use the mouse• Under insert you would then see an option for charts

Insert a Chart

Step 4: Insert Data into a Blank Excel Worksheet

Step 5: ALT+N to Highlight Insert

Tab.

Then select a chart to create for

your data.

Hint: If you’re having trouble creating a chart, refer back to the help function in the top right hand corner where you may view a video that teaches you how to create a chart.

Step 6: Example- Under Bar Chart select a clustered 3-D

chart

Select Data

Step 8: This is the box that will always pop up when creating a

chart.

Step 9:• Data Range: Implies the numbers or data

collected from the chart

(Chart Data Range are the numbers on the left)

Step 10:

Enter a “seriesname” to provide a title

Step 11: Add Axis Labels

Excel Help Function is there throughout every step.

Highlight the namesin the data

Step 12: • To add labels use shortcut ALT+JA to go to

layout• Then press W which will select “Data

Labels” for you

Step 14:• Finally click on show which will show the data

labels and that should be your final product
