How you’ll learnYou'll be taught by a combination oflectures with academics who have eventexperience, seminars, small groupactivities, case studies and discussions inaddition to audio-visual material andguest speakers from related industries.You will also be able to use your skills toorganise your own professional eventswith our own company - Dome Events,gaining the professional experience thatemployers want.

Your careerThe events industry is expanding rapidlyand there are a wide range ofopportunities so you will have goodemployment prospects in the UK andinternationally when you graduate.

When you have successfully completedthis course, you will have opportunities toapply for careers in a wide range ofsectors including, conferencing andevents, corporate hospitality andexhibitions.

Where you will study: Buxton Campus. This is our secondcampus and is 1 hour’s drive away fromour main campus in Derby.

Entry requirements: Academic – 260 UCAS tariff points, ofwhich at least 220 must be from your International Baccalaureate orequivalent qualification.

Language – A qualification such as IELTS6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in all areas) orTOEFL – 550 (paper based), 213(computer based), 80 (internet based).See our website for other acceptedqualifications or phone us: +44 (0)1332 591698.

Duration and mode of study: 3 years full time. With an optionalplacement year, 4 years. If you alreadyhave an HND or foundation degree, youcan apply to take the final year of thiscourse to top up to an honours degree.

Course fees: £10,225 per year**These fees apply if you are starting this course betweenSeptember 2013 and August 2014. We recommend youcheck fees as they can change. Costs can increase each year.
