  • EVENT OVERVIEW Evergreen: The Virtual Gala for The Morton Arboretum is the annual fundraising event to support the institution’s mission to plant and protect trees for a greener, healthier, and more beautiful world. The gala advances the Arboretum’s leading-edge science, benefiting trees locally and globally as they face increased threats. In 2019, the event raised nearly half a million in funds for tree-focused research, outreach, and programs. Evergreen supports the organization’s enduring impact and contributes to the preservation of the Arboretum’s beauty and value for generations to come.

VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE The 2020 gala will be held virtually! Join us from the comfort of your home for the event program which will be broadcasted Saturday, September 26 at 6:30 p.m. via YouTube. Sponsors and guests will have an opportunity to bid on auction prizes and make night-of donations easily from their mobile device while viewing the program.

Those who wish to host friends, family, or colleagues for a small viewing party at their home can partake in exciting food and beverage benefits. Hosts can also opt to take a small group of guests through the Arboretum by limousine rental. These details and more sponsor benefits can be found on page two.

  • When Joy Morton established The Morton Arboretum in 1922, he envisioned a “great outdoor museum” of trees. Today, its living collections inspire visitors to appreciate, learn about, plant, and protect trees. The Arboretum champions the world’s trees through plant collections, science and conservation, education, and outreach.

The Arboretum’s 1,700 acres hold more than 222,000 live plants representing nearly 4,300 taxa from around the world. The Arboretum conducts leading scientific research on tree health and tree improvement, collects and displays trees for study and enjoyment on the grounds, offers educational programming for adults and children, and presents nature-related activities year-round for people of all ages and interests.

We invite you to join us in the Arboretum’s mission to plant and protect trees for a greener, healthier, and more beautiful world. Thank you for your consideration.
