SSARS’06 The 1-st Summer Safety and Reliability Seminar

Hotel Bryza, Jurata, PolandJune 2006

A New Idea on Future Activity in Safety and Reliability Directed to Young Scientists and their

Professors

A large number of young scientists and researchers attended ESREL 2005. This fact has inspired me to initiate one-week Summer Seminars organized annually in Jurata the most elegant resort placed at the Hel Peninsula. The Seminars could be organized and supported by ESRA and PSRA. (a positive opinion of the ESRA and PSRA Offisers is welcome) The main items of the Seminars’ each day would be:

- 2 lectures by professors and/or by experienced researches in the early morning; - playing tennis, swimming, taking spa, walking and other rests in the long middle

of a day; - presentation of papers by PhD students, young scientists and researchers in the

late afternoon; - individual meetings and discussions in the evening.

Papers preliminary versions (drafts) would be published in the Seminar Proceedings after slight reviewing before the Seminar. Next, the papers would be improved and qualified for possible publication in selected scientific journals. The main idea of this event is to give young scientists the opportunity of the common with professors work on the preparation their papers for publication in prestige international scientific journals. Professors interested in the creation of this new initiative are requested to contact with me, using e-mail address: [email protected] (Professors who attended ESREL 2005 with their students are especially welcome)
