Risk-Sharing Finance Facility – Risk Sharing Instrument (RSFF - RSI)Cooperation: €150 million boost for RSI loan guarantee facility forSMEs / small mid-caps => leveraging €1 billion loans for R&I

• 5 ERA Chairs to build excellence in less developed regions

• Pilot to be launched in the Autumn to prepare for Horizon 2020

• ERA chairs = outstanding academics attracted by universities or institutions to build excellent teams

• ERA chairs host= institutions demonstrating the ability to support excellence (must provide excellent facilities and comply with ERA principles e.g. open recruitment)

Drawing on Forest Resources to Aid Sustainable Manufacturing – FORBIOPLAST(FP7)

• New ways to save wood by-products - better use of wood, without chopping trees

• Industrial applications – innovative processes of interactions between wood and polymers (packaging, farming sectors)
