The class of exact string solutions presented in the paper has previously been published in the context of string mod- els of hadrons rather than that of cosmic strings [I ] . The authors give the solution in terms of two parameters A and h, which are related to the ones I used by K = A and v= A w / h . I would like to thank C . J. Burden and L. J.
