Grip Types - 3
• Packaging Colors: – Green = Performance Comfort
• GP1, GP1 Biokork, GC2, GC2 Biokork, GR3, GC3, GC3 Biokork
– White = Pro Racing • Leichtbau – “light-weight construction” • GS1, GS2, GS3, GX1, GX2 • Leichtbau = pronounced Lie-Sh-Bow
– Black = Technical • GA1, GA1 Leichtbau, GE1
Quick Facts
• Performance Comfort and Technical Grips come in 2 sizes: Small and Large
• Pro Racing Grips- GS: S/L GX: one size - small
• All Ergon grips are lock-on – Clamp is patented and is always on outside
edge – Grip will not twist on handlebar
What is Small vs. Large?
• Size is circumference/thickness between thumb and forefinger
• Wing size is the same on both sizes
Recommendations
• SMALL – Riders with smaller hands – Riders wearing padded gloves – Riders riding technical terrain
• LARGE – Riders with larger hands – Commuting, city riding – Riders looking for more “cush”
The Ergon Wing
• Ergon holds a patent for its internal skeleton. – Think human skeleton supporting body
• Most other grips are solid rubber • Ergon grips have either one or two tabs
inside the wing making our grips the most supportive and comfortable

• Ergon’s original grip • GP1-L is our top-seller • Larger wing for more support • Softer/flexier rubber compound • Introductory grip for most shops
Performance Comfort
• Grip body is the GP1 for all Performance Comfort grips.
• Other grips add different size bar ends with the GP1 grip body
• Example: GR2 • Number indicates bar end size
GP1 Biokork
• Cork: natural product • 40% cork from sustainable forest in
Portugal • Vegetable oil used in place of mineral oil on
gel pad in palm section • Recyclable clamp • Dampens vibration, good tactile feel • Available with bar ends (GR2, GC3 Biokork)
Pro Racing • All grips are Leichtbau – “lightweight
construction” • Grip wings are smaller and more firm than
Performance Comfort grips • For competition or anyone who wants a
lighter weight, lower profile grip ss

• More cushioning and support than the GX1 • Wing slightly bigger than GX1 • Internal wing design slightly different(2 tabs) • Comes in Small/Large
Pro Racing – GX1 • Original pro racing grip • Comes in size small • Lightest winged grip

• Like Performance Comfort, numbers in the name indicate bar end size (e.g. 2,3)
• The larger the number, the bigger the bar end
• The Leichtbau grips have a lighter weight rubber compound
