Hordes of Pilgrims

We have come a long way since the time of the earliest Hindu pilgrims who had to travel across the length and breadth of the country.

The pilgrimages were to the northern mountains and to small islands in the Arabian Sea or the Bay of Bengal.

There would be hordes of pilgrims making their way to the southern tip of the country as well as to the western or eastern coasts.

The arrangements at the Chardham tour include not only accommodation and food but also various services such as the evening aarti conducted by the local priest besides bhajan & kirtan.

A bonfire is lit every evening while cultural evenings are organized every alternate day at Joshimath.

While on the Char Dham tours, one can go on a guided trek to Harsil and visit Chopta.

Treks to Tungnath are organized too and there is a traditional welcome with a steamed towel when you arrive.
