WE AS ONE ENSIGN STAFF Amidst the turmofl brought about by the redonation of the A beneo

pruperty to the San PabIo Diocese, a wonderful bond was obviously developed among the people involved in the Ateneo retention This bond was indeed noticeable not onty among a few but also among m y from all walks of life. A Ade from the Ateneo community-teachers, students, parents, - many other concerned citizens and civic leaders me working hard for at least a phming-out process for the school instead of the more abrupt turnover in March 19 78.

Because of this bond one who is not familiar with the close in f imacy of the Ateneo community would be surprised upon entering the gates of the school, for immedia M y , he sees the bond of brotherhood, he sees intimate outer and inner Iurtdscapes o f a full md remarkable community. It is a relafionship that is heart-warning and exuberant. The crisis has obviously strengthened rhe bond of unity.

For indeed, A teneares f o m a community with a spirit of unity and brotherhood. Such a relation bred by past objectives, and strengthened by the present crisis, is bound to be even stronger in the future. The facu 1 ty , administmtion, parents and friends of the A teneo were sincere and hard-working enough in developing the Ateneo community the way if is now. Together with their seniors the A teneo stzrdents have worked to- ge ther with common aims and objectives for thirty solid y ears.

IH the face of such closeness if is indeed u~lforlunatc thaf the Ateneo might nor stay here for long- One wonders where fhis spirit of unity and brotherhood goes after the A teneo is gone. Will the end of the A feneo put an end to this spirit of unify and brotherhood? A thou~and and one bombs did not devastcs fe fh e spirit of the Vietnamese people because .they fough E in fheir home land, because they were not uproo fed. If the A deneo shall be allowed to stay, if it shall not be uprooted, then it shall continue to work for others, for justice, in the spirit of unity m d brotherhood.

BROTHERLY CONCERN FOR OTHERS

The Christmas Package Drive of the A teneo has been going on since the e M y part of-the school year. Students have been generously coptnibu- ting to their respective classes for the drive. This project has been going on because of two reasons: a few students really want to help the poor people, and, others desire thaf fheir class would win fn the grand assess- ing, that Is, to win holidays and prizes. Althqugh the purpose is at times superficial, it is obvious fhut A t e n e m are working togethef for a cause, an apparent sign that the Ateneans have unity. They know haw to be one; they know how to fight for a cause, how to focus- their resources on a single obsession.

To improve on this unify, however, we need another spirit which will help us to be the men the Ateneo waPlb us to be- the spirit of brotherhood or the feeling of brotherly concern for others. For instance, we can work harder in the Christmas Packaae Drive if we come to d i z e that we are helping our poor brothers to be happy during the Chrlshttas season. We m teach more inspin'n~ly in the A CIL because we are helping

, our innocent, little brothers and sisters to know about God. We cm work and strive more for the real success of dl our undertakings if we h m this noble motive.

Otto von Bismarck believed that unify is quite necessary to make G e m y a world power So, tm, we can say that unity is necessary in all our actions. Unity and brorherhood should always be toge rher so that we can achieve what we really want to ach feve for the growth of our- selves and for a better A teneo.

OUR COVER

Unity is a vital element of the Ateneo way of Me. It is that oneness in idea, in principle and in human value. It brings with it the concept of brotherhood which is an essential element of ehristianity; an essential element of being "men for others" and a vital aspect of love. Both of them are part of the chistian princi- ples that make up the kteneo communi-

For the past thirty years, Ateneo has been am outstanding school in the city. AcademicalIy speaking, Ateneo may rule out other schools. Simply because Ateneo has been accredited by PUSCU, thanks to the students and especially to the teachers. It's true that there are only few schools and universities who are members of PAASCU, and we are lucky, Ateneo is one of them.

But let's take some questions why Ateneo is famous. Well, we wn say that it has acquired good teachers. This year, two new teachers were accepted. One of them is Mr. Salvador Jalmasco, the tall mustached guy from Nagcarlan, who has taught in the Feati University with the Columbian fathers. Then he transferred to the RVM mothers in Nagcarlan. Laeuna and then in Quezon. 1 i s t t h e , -

Mario A. Deriquito, 4-B The heads of the different departments

b u s e d the school's desire to im- prove the quality of approaci~es and tech- niques it uses in teaching, the Ateneo facuIty members have invited Mrs. Francisca M a d a y and Miss Angelita Pulgado to speak before them on matters regarding high sdiool and grade school teachings. Tlus is a part of their desire to learn more for professional growth.

Mrs. Francisca Maday, En~Iish Super- - . - visor of the DEC (Department of ~ d i c a - tion and Culture) h Region IV San Pablo City Division spoke before the faculty members last July 8. She was the faculty's fvst guest for the school year.

"It is the teacher who creates the right atmosphere." Miss Pulgado was quoted in her talk on how to create the right atmosphere in teaching the students. She discussed to her very attentive listen- e n the positive approach in teaching wherein everyone is to be happy. This is the right way to teach and develop the young people of today.

Every program of the government today, according to her is geared towards National Development and this- can only be attained when t l i e nation can produce productive, self-reliant, skmwl, di ciphed, confident md energetic y m men. B A ~ A H A N '77: "BLITHE GROUP FOREVER"

Have you ever attended a "j jim-dandy" but not tiring duration of summer camp- activities? Sad to say you are not with them when they experienced such? "Everything was scheduled and done everyday according to the master plan, that is, you're to comply whether you hke it or not, yet enjoyed doing what- ever tagk was given to us due to the joyful atmosphere that prevailed.'"

That's the starting sentence given to us by the teen-barkada's member. The p u p was composed of 63 students coming from S.L.C., S.P.C. and of course from our very own Ateneo'y.

We will be t- about what had happened Iast April 18 at 8 :00 o'clock in the morning up to the beautiful moon- lit ityering of May 18. The leading characta of our topic was Mrs. Lita Yedm (we Miss Belarmino) who served us the overall moderator of the Teen Barkadahan 7 7 which was then called "summer day camp."

T.B.'s activities of course started with an orientation and a mrt of short fellow- ship ta avoid the feelings of timidity

Inspired by the success of activity Orientation Week that was held every school year here at the Ateneo, the schml once again did it. It was held last June 15, 16 and 17 and it was made very successful by the cooperation and interest of the authorities and especially of the Atenem. But first, what does tbis orientation week mean? What was this all about? What was its goal?

Orientadon is a word and an activity that helps the growth and development of an individual. It means acquaintance with an existing situation or environment. It also means to inform and to make others familiar to a certain subject and it is the forefront of an organization's ac- tivities. These explanations are the rea- sons why the Ateneo are having every schooI year an Activity Orientation Week.

Activity Orientation Week is indeed an important and susceptible one here at the Ateneo because during tllis week, authorities are at their most difficult job and theft courage, strength and whole- hearted cooperation are needed.

Eric R. Roiio, 4-B Salvador Doria, 4-B

among the group. It was not surprising to note that the group will be divided into dusters since they are not fruits of asingle tree but of different environments. To avoid such thing, Mrs. Yedra found it morecomfortable to divide the students into groups and develop then into a new dynamic mixture of youth's grouped together by interest and love not because they know each other.

B a n h w , Cristobd and M a w were the names adopted under the supervision of Jhorna Vlllahermosa, Meng Td~ayra and Vic Quisumbing respectively. Their activities were planned to suit their whims and interest as follows: scouting, singing, modern dancing, martial arts, drama and arts, guitar playing, swimming, bowling, science, chess and a numerous enjoying, profitable, nonacademic activities. "We learned how to be gentle with regards to the proper attitude towards the opposite "chicks, oops, I mean sex! " Some of the boys in the group commented. It was also there where they came to realized that they have hidden talents and onIy need proper exposure. It is also evident

that there has been a harmonious relation- ship between the students, moderator and nll the other staffs concerned.

They learned different arts ranging from the sweet signing, the hard but enjoyable world of martial arts w a s also a heaven for those who dig the late "Bruce Lee". Tito Outlaw, Lee's carbon copy in skill, patiently gave all he can to develop the youth in the areas of self defense and confidence. Tlre campIicated world of science offered fields of interest for the youth in a systematic way.

Carnpfue, hikmg, field games were the source of the campers exciting adventure. On the contrary, the adventure and en- joyment that campers experienced was tantamount to cover the sacrifices and difficulties accompanying the task of Iiolding mixed characters of boys and girls.

To sum it all; it is surprising to think that these wonderful batch are now de- veloped ladies and gentlemen who can't forget that they were so because of the dynamic group of staff, faculty and "bionic Moderator."

Its goals are the foUowing: To encou- rage and practice thoughtfuhess and as- sistance among the students. To create among the Atemeans an awareness of the importance of the activities here at the Ateneo. To emphasize acceptance of res- ponsibilities as the basis of group achieve- ment and specially personal success, and lastly, to recognize and develop the Ate- neans persod integrity.

Once again, we, the Atenems, offer OW sincere and greatful thanks to all the authorities of this activity orientation week for without your courage, strength, wholehearted cooperation and interest our development as an individual here at the Atenao wiU not come tme and for without you, this activity orientation week wiU not be made possible and successful.

We ask you, Atenems, to work with your best participation on whatever acti- vities you have joined without wunting the cost. We all h o w that this year maybe the lasE year of the Ateneo here in San Pablo. So please be committed and be

THE INTERACT CLUB, THIS TME

TIie Interact Club is one of the newest clubs hem in the Ateneo, yet, it can be considered as one of the eminent extra- curricular organizations existing in the school. The club was able to reach this peak because of its successful social action projects that are mainly geared toward youth development.

Since the youth development is one of its main objectives, the Ateneo Interact Club providcs the cxposure fcr young people, particularly the Ateneans, through the laundling of its projects. This organi- zation at the same time, is intended to help tile poor people of San Pablo City.

Inspired by its successful background in the previous years, the Interact Club this year, after its reorganization last June I 5 and the induction of offcefs Iast July 1, has set its plan of activities for the schml year 1477.1978.

Tile plan included the Youth Forum wl~ich has been an annt~al project since the time it was rust organized. It also included the Elementary Basketball League, the cuItuxal and art contests, the project for the poor during fiesta, Christms party for the poor and other activities whose min purpose were to develop the youth and to help the poor people. All thesc will be sponsored by the Interact Club this year.

The club recently sponsored a movie as a starting project for the purpose of fund-raising. All these funds wit1 be used then in the projects.

Since there is no certainty in t l ~ e existence of the Ateneo next year, we will try to make this year, one of the best years of the school by making the Interact Club also a successful one. The success of the d u b will depend on the particjpatian of the members.

T l ~ s year's Interact president, Rrrish, Evasco once told me, 'With the coopera- tion and participation of wery member of the club and the support of the Rotary Club t o which this club of ours is affilia- ted,we ate looking forward in making this p a r to be one of the best among Interact years."

LEARNING FROM SPEAKERS.. . Conrirzued from page 5

It is actually just a matter OF making them learn because they want to learn and not because they are Forced to learn,

The talks were followed by the usual qucstionanswer procedure wlJch gives the teachers the opportunity to clarify vague tlungs concerning the talk given to them. It also gives them a chance to gain solutions and suggestions to their daily battles inside the classroom.

Both meetings were adjourned with the faculty giving both speakers a big round of applause as a sign of their sincerest thanks for the talks given to them.

The Ateneo Faculty is jntcrested not only about the devctopn~ent of every student in the Ateneo, but also about the progress of the City af which the students are a part. With this in the minds of the teachers, they have in Mayor Cesar Dizon the answer to their questions.

Mayor Cesar D h n spoke on Action PIans wherein he touched on agricultural development, tourism, social development, zoning, water work system, rural electri- fication, fisherjes, cooperatives, and the problems confronting San Pablo City.

With these kind of teachers, we are having in the Ateneo, its no longer a sur- prising thing to know that the Ateneo is developing us to become MEN - REAL MEN - M A L MEN FOR OTHERS

Apologies to Langston Hughes

THE 3-DAY ACIL SlEMINAR

Mario A. Deriquito, 4-3

The Ateneo Catechetical Instruction Jkague (ACIL), in preparation for its activity for the year, held a thee-day seminar last July 8-10, 1977.

last July 8, the seminar started ifnme- diately after classes at 3:30 P.M. It was opened as usual with songs and a prayer. Then Sister Cristina of Canossa College, who was the guest speaker, begm her talk. She touched on what should be our motintion in the ACIL. She further explained the essence of our commitment as catechists, then a questionanswer forum followed that shifted the topic to the problems in the ACIL. Sister Cristina began to compare their cate- cheticd Instruction League in Canossa with ours. After that, she taught us songs which we appreciated very much.

That afternoon, two alumni of the Ateneo in Ithe persons of Mon Cayamanda and Pocholo Azucena were also invited to show us their experiences in the ACIL. (Since Mon and Focholo were the rice- prefect and secretary-treasurer of last year's ACIL respectively). They shared with us their fruitful years and how they found thc value and spirit of the ACIL.

The next day wssron, July 9, started with a shod quiz for all to review and secalI what has been learned from Sister Cristina's talk.

Unfortunately, the expected guest speaker in the person of Sister Trinidad was not able to come due to her flu. So,

Near the 1-C classroom and guiding the entrance of the stairs nearest the main gate of t h e school, is a statue of our Blessed Mother. The statue, about three feet In height, is clad in white, blue, and gold fmishings. Many times, we use the stairs but seldom do we pay respect or even give attention to it.

Indeed, Mary, the Blessed Mot her, pbys a big role in the life of m ktenen~. And far that, we give Her Marian devo- tions throughout the whole year, especid- ly, in the month of October.

But then I would ask - "Why is that statue of Mary which gives us the image of the Holiest among the Holy people who lived on earth fded with dust and cobwebs? For how long did mt image

Mix Vaidellon, ACIL modentor, took herplace and introduced us to the method o f teaching called the PESO method. Shc explained and then asked us if we *ant to clarify some things. Finally, the morning session was fmished, with Miss Valdellon and Er. Trinidad, asking for some volunteers to perform a teaching demonstrat ion in the aftemon.

The bell for the start of the afternoon session sounded at one o'clock. We all assembled in the chapel and had a prayer. Then we all proceeded te I-C classroom for the teaching demonstration. The ftve students who volunteered had their de- monstration one by one with the rest acting as observers. After dl t h e demons- trations, Miss VaIdellon asked the obser- vers to give their comments regarding the demonstration. Then she, herself, per- formed a demonstration using the PESO

method. Each of us keenly o b s e d aod tried to follow up with Miss Valdellon's systematic met hod.

The last day of the semhar finally came. Again, the day started with a pra- yer, songs and short quiz. The morning session's guest speaker was Bro. Dunne who discussed the possible problems to be encountered in the MIS. He enurnera- ted five things that cause problems and then gave llis own suggestions on how to solve them.

To concludc the seminar, a mass was held at 1 1 :00 A.M. and finished at around twelve o'clock.

Summing it up, from the seminar, we have acquired the proper motivation, the method of teaching, possible problems and their practical solutions. With alI these, the AClL can be more sucoessfd th year.

ENSIGN

WEDDING BELLS FOR PAENG AND LITA

e Mario A. Deriquito, 4-8

It was a pleasant Sunday afternoon, about five-thirty. The date was a memo- rabIe one May 22, 1977, the Sunday of the Lord's ascension. Tt was also quite significant especially for two individuals who responded to Cod's call, for them to live the married We.

Truly, this was really an important one; the day when two of the Ateneo teachen, Mr. Rafael Yedra and Miss Angelita Bedarnino were put together by God as husband and wife.

The bride was beautifill . . . more beautiful than before. Dressed in elegant white gown, she marched down the aisle of the Saa PabIo Cathedral.

Accompanied by friends, relatives and members of his own family, the groom patiently waited for his bride to come.

The organ was played and the hymn of the Ave Maria filled the whole Cathed- ral. All eyes were on the wedding en- tourage.

Er. Don Bruger, S.J. and Fr. Frank Reilly, S.J. requested the faitllful to join them on their prayers. Er. Redly cele- brated the mass while Fr. Brugger offi- ciated the marriage. The candes were lighted and the cord of sampagulta flo- wers binded the bride and the groom. Avc Maria was sung again. The ceremony continued until Paeng and Lita became one in heart.

THE DAY WAS OF IGNATWS e Antonio hrgoza, Jr., 4B

"Lord teach me to be generous: that's a line in the famous prayer for generosity acquired fox scl~ool's distribution by our mreetor, Bro. James Dunne.

The distribution of St. Ignatius holy cards reminds us of something special . . . This day is a very special one particularly to us, Ateneans, because it's the feast day of St. Ignatius, founder of the Jesuit order.

On the day prior to the feast day, a mass was celebrated in honor of St, Ignatius. Unlike the weekly niasses that were held in our chapel, this time it was held at the San Pablo City Cathedral, to accommodate all the Ateneo students. After the last exam in the Fint Grading Period, students from Grade Five to Fourth Year marched out from their respective classrooms and immediately

went to the Cathedral. There were no classes in the afternoon

because of the joint Ateneo-Canossa fa- culty recollection held at Canossa.

It was a sunny St. Ignatius Day, July 30, 1977. It was a school Iloliday so after days and nights of studying Iessons in preparation for the flst Grading Exams, Ateneo students utilized their time rela- ting tired minds and bodies. Some played pingpong and basketball, many spent their time w a t c h g movies, and others simply preferred to stay home.

The occasion was celebrated in a quiet and simple way but July 330 was truly a very important occasion because it was the feast day of St. Ignatius. Whether it's a grand or a simple celebration, the vital thing was the true Ateneo Spirit that was present on that said event.

Mam- bers were placed under constant practice until they were a'ble to out-swim the college swirrrmers from the Laguna Col- lege.

Mr. Salvador Salmasco is the new moderator of the team. The team, like last year prepared for the Triangular Athletic Meet. This year's meet was held last October 7 , 1977 at the Y.M.C.A. We suffered defeat, but it is not as depressing as last year's competition, for we were able to bag the First place in the Free style event. The competition was also graced by the lovely girls from Canossa who cheered us up for their classmate Carina Wason whom we invited to corn- pete for the Ateneo Team. Last August 23, the Interact Club of the Ateneo sponsored the first NagcarIan to San Pablo Marathon Race. The lung- busting 21 kilometers race was partici- pated in by 67 mners, mostly students from the different schools in San Pablo City and some out of school youths.

&on bzada , a third year high school student from San Pablo Colleges registered the best time of 1 hr., 2 minutes, and 34 seconds. He was 2 minutes and 25 seconds ahead of second placer Romeo Cornista from Ateneo and 3 minutes and 25 seconds ahead of third placer Lorenzo Vergara from San Pablo City School of Arts and Trade.

The morning of August 23 was quite cool and cloudy but it didn't seem to bother the runners who were fmd off in front of the Municipal Hall in Nagcar- ' Ean. The race ended inside the Ateneo Gymnasium. A jeepney of nurses was closely following the runners in case someone might need a first aid treat- ment.

When the go-signal sounded off, the group of Ramon Liozada at once bolted into the lead. They never looked back as they kept on inching away from the main pack of runners. After they have traveled half the distance, the runners were now scattered. Each one separated from each other by a distance. Meanwhile a t the gym, all Ateneans

were assembled waiting for the arrival of the runners. Every student, every teacher,

You might be wondering why Dyuendnrea was the name given to the track and field club of the Atenm. It was because the names of Bro. Dunne and Mr. Yedra were combined to get such appellation. The two dashing coaches established this club to give chance to those people who are interested in sports. They also wanted to broaden stamina and ability of each member of the track club to keep them physically active. The training places where most mem

AND THE RESPONSE i T r n A N S

POVERTY is a seven-letter word which covers many things, many places and many people. It is the word which refers to man" bait problems; in fact, it is

' number orie in some locaIities particularly the City of San Pablo.

The Ateneans are not sleeping. They are aware of this problem that casts its ugly shadow in the city. Guided by the Christian principles, they feel that a grave responsibility lies on their shoulders. They are always willing to act, to give love and generosity.

These Ateneans are Incky enough to have a school that gives them great oppor- tunities to help the poor people. The Ateneo has various organizations which serve as means ta show love and affection towards the poor. There is the Interact Club, the Ateneo Catechetid Instiuction League, the Christmas Package Drive, the AAA Klinikang Pangkawanggawa, the Yananagutan Roject and many other means or opportunities wherein the Ateneans can help to overcome the prob- lem of poverty.

The Ateneo lnteract Club has been active with its social action projects throughout the years. In the recent year, the dub had launched various projects for the people who are unfortunate. Such projects are the tutoring project which involves the pupils from public schools; the running of the Klinikang Pan&awang- gawa and other such projects which aim to help those victims of poverty. ,

Another vital means of helping is the Christmas Package Drive which is an annual pruject of the Ateneo teachers and students. This project aims to relieve the situation of those people. This is done by collecting money, goods and anything that wodd make the poor people happy during the Christmas season. Each student participates in the project actively with- out any complaint.

Run and operated by the students under the guidance of Mr. Yedra, the "Pananaptan Project" has been functlon- ing smoothly throughout the previous year.

Aside from the organizations I have already mentioned before, the classes are required to have class s d action projects at least twice or three times a year, Such projects are done to help in relieving poverty.

The opportunities that 1 have cited given by the Atenet, to its students are

just for material poverty; that is, lack D Y ~ ~ N R E A . . . (mntinuedfrom puge 13) of basic necessities in fife such as food, clothes and shelter. ATENEO * CANOSSA OFFICERS OFF TO BUNOT LAKE

a Johannes A. Lim, 4-B

With the purpose of strengthening social relationship between themselves and their schools, the Ateneo-Canmsa CAT-I officers held a picnic in Bunot Lake Resort last Sept. 21,1977.

h t h schools were accompanied by their respective commandants, Mr. Aquino of Ateneo and Major Bayani of Canossa, Atty. Senen Cabrera, the Ateneo prhcipal together with Sister Lydia, Canossa's principal and Sister Cristina, a guidance counseIor from Canossa also joined the thirtyeight officers from Ateneo and Canossa College.

The clay was not merely just a day of fun and games but it dm served as an opportunity for everyone to know more about each other. Sister Lydia and Sister Cristina gave the officers an exercise on Croup Dynamics with the purpose of making each one open to one another. The leaders seemed to enjoy the exercise as everyone was vely eager to talk to the whole group and tell them what they have learned from their partners.

The day too, marked the third time

that the Ateneo-Canossa CAT officers held a picnic since 1974. The frst batch of officers who initially started this annual affair held their picnic in Villa Arcelis Resort - Nagcartan. The second batch of o f f i ~ r s held their get togetl~er picnic in San Rafael Resort last year. And ours was in Bunot Lake Resort. Where's next?

There was a time for johng, playing, chatting, eating and a time of planning. Mr. Aquino and Major Bayani presented to the group the plan they made wherein the Ateneo - Canossa CAT officers will have a fourday stint in Baguio City sometime this coming November.

The picnic they had was just the start of the many activities wherein oacers of both schools will be together as a reward for their fuFl cooperation during the two- week long training last summer.

To the commandants of both Atenet> and Canossa, the principals of both school as well as the officers themselves, congra- tulations for making the affair a sums- fun and a memorable one.

ZARZUELA IN LIEU OF AWITAN

I t looks like this year is a year for change, For instance, instead of the annual Awiian sa Atenm held for the past two yean, the schaoE wiU hold a combination of the annual drama (held four or f ive ycars ago) and lthe Awitan. it will. stage a zarzueln.

Why the sudden transition? IVefl, mainly because of thc sctbacks of the hvo preceding shows. The h n u a l Dram lacked music. But A witan sa Are~reo turned out t o bc lacking in dramatics. The people involved thought it best to combine the two in ordca to overcome those handicaps.

Thc cncrgetic people whose invaluable as- sistance and guidanoe made the zarzuelr pos- sible are: Mr. Locxln, thc musical director; Miss Pilaring Raymundo, assistant; Mrs. Angelita Yedra, in-chargc of thc direction of the play; and last but nut least, Mr. Romeo Panganibm, the production managex.

The performers are composed of ten &Is (aU Canossions) and thirty bogs. Preparations had been underway for several months now. The entire cast lrad been practicing daily.

The play is scheduled on N~vcrnbca 12 and 13. The first night wiu bc for gencral patronage at 7:00 P.M. The second n i a t will be the gala pcrfarmaace at 7:00 P.M.

This show promises much more than the Annual Drama 01 the Awitan sa Ateneo. The fact js obvjous, dramatics and music galore, It would be like watching a Loadway musical xight here in the Atsneo,

But, entertainment i s not the only purpose of the play. It has a more humanitarian and mmtrpendable muse. The proceeds of the play will not go to the administration but to the h u a l SchaQnhip Fund DrIve. Thc money will pay for the cdncation of those descning students who we incapabIe of paying their educational expenses bccause of financial diffi- cultics.

The Ateneans who won in the recently mnduaed Inter-School Marian Art GDntesi held last October 10, were as follows: Eusebio de Luna of 4-8 - SEwnd Place, &coy Eugenio, 3-B - TIrd Place, Randy Francisco. 2-8 - Eight Place, J o e l B - Ninth Place. All of them xeceived awards.

Romeo Comista of 2A, got the Frst Place in the Rotary sponsored 21 km. h t h o n Race. He won ovcr Ramon Lozsda who got First Place in the Interact Marathon Race where he was Second. October 15 is a lucky day for "Cornik" bemuse he received P150.00 as his pocket prize,

Gbrie l Romcro of 3-3 was elected us the Barangay ette CaptaIn of Sto. Angel JlisQict last September.

Generous and helpFIll benefactors are much naeded here for the sucoess of the play. The success of the Scholarship Fund Drive lies on them. It is expcad that they would buy thc tickets with the highest prices mt bccdusc that is what the play i s worth but b a u s e of the help their money can do to the drive.

With everything working smoothly clock work, the play is geared f o r one thing - SUCCCSS.
