VLT’S INTELLIGENT TEST LANE CONCEPT

VLT, a world-wide specialist in the field of vehicle testing, has introduced its Intelligent Test Lane Concept in 1995 and is continuously updating this concept, whereby Test Lanes are created for testing trucks, trailers, buses, cars and motor cycles.

The main features of Test Lanes created with this concept are:

• short testing times, thereby enabling a large throughput of vehicles;

• objective, operator independent test results on most test items;

• accurate measurements;• a large set of clear user instructions is displayed, which

allows the owner/ driver to stay in the vehicle during the test, thus saving manpower;

• a wide selection of different test equipment for integra-tion is available;

• a large number of settings, threshold values and standards can be accessed directly and edited by the user;

• the modular setup allows a complete variety of Test Lane configurations;

• easily upgradable by adding more test equipment items per lane;

Why unique?• The VLT Integrated Vehicle Test Lane works fully paperless• Has a Vehicle Tracking System, this means the System handles three or more Vehicles at the same time in one lane

and keeps the data and results of each Vehicle separate.• VLT makes use of one Single Test Lane Computer per Test Lane• Only one time Vehicle Data input, mostly only registration number is all you have to put in. The remaining data is

retrieved from the Station Server Database.• Unknown New Vehicles of the Database can be easily created by Menu on the Entry Console and/or on Reception.• Pass or Fail decision is made by the Computer System, no human influence on vital inspections, like Brakes,

VLT 3673/M AND VLT 3673/MK2The Suspension Tester operates according to the well-known EUSAMA principle. However, the diagnostic options are not restricted to the contents of this specification. In addition to the usual road contact values, the following values are also measured and displayed: the contact value difference, resonance frequency and wheel weight at minimum contact value, tyre pressure value, wheel weight and axle weight. There is a general final evaluation so that all these values do not have to be interpreted after every test. The Suspension Tester can be used in combination with a VLT Brake Tester. The two pieces of equipment are monitored by the same computer. A single display cabinet is used for the two pieces of equipment. The axle weight measured by the Suspension Tester is also used for the calculation of the brake efficiencies.Models with 22”, 27” and 32” large TFT-LCD monitors with full colour display for information and results.The VLT 3673/MK2 the more advanced development of the VLT 3673/M fully based on the EUSAMA principle. With the purchase of this combination you get the best equipment available in the market. The Road contact Tester operates according the well-known EUSAMA principle. VLT Caravan Roller Brake Simulator VLT 2106THE ORIGINAL CARAVAN ROLLER BRAKE SIMULATOR The VLT Caravan Roller Brake Simulator operates the brake mechanism on the triangle of the caravan. The Brake Simulator also holds the caravan in the roller sets of the Brake Tester. The mechanism in the Brake Simulator, which is acti-vated by hand, Causes force through the coupling device on the overrun brake.This force is measured with a gauge and is displayed on the LED Display or Monitor of the Roller Brake Tester. A simulator locking rail must be ordered separately. NOW Available from VLT The All New Mobile Roller Brake Tester Caravan / Trailer Simulator VLT 2810This Caravan Simulator does in fact the same as the Original Model VLT 2106, but there is no need to install the floor rails anymore. It can handle Light Trailers with overrun Brakes up to 3000kg. The VLT 2810 will be hooked on between the pulling Vehicle and The Caravan / Trailer. The Caravan can be picked up by the Simulator VLT 2810 from outside and bring the Caravan and Simulator up to the Roller Brake Tester, and after the Tests are completed bring the Caravan or Trailer back to the outside/parking area.Available for standard 50 mm ball coupling or for the open Nato Military coupling, or combination of both.Connection Simulator to Roller Brake Tester by cable or by wireless Radio Frequency. VLT play detectorsWe offer our Extremely Heavy Tolerance Play Detectors with hydraulic aggregate. Large movements, low maintenance, easy to operate, mostly by radio frequency controlled remote control including models with automatic program cycles besides manual operation.

VLT AXLE load simulators (classic way)A range of three different Axle Load Simulators is available from 4000 kg - 6000 kg and 10000 kg pulling force by two dual action hydraulic cylinders.

All our UK VLT 16600 and VLT 20600 series have applied brake test facilities and are fully computerized with infra-red remote control for the ONE man operation on the 16622/M5/HEAVY/CON and 16633/ M5/HEAVY/CON models. FREELIFTING OF THE AXLE AND/OR AXLE LOAD SIMULATION “ALL-IN-ONE”

For this Universal Roller Brake Tester, VLT has designed a special lifting device, installed under the roller sets, which gives this Roller Brake Tester all the flexibility you need.

A. Normal brake testing like a standard Roller Brake Tester.

B. Lifting one axle to increase the testing weight by factor 1 to 3.

C. Use as Axle Load Simulator by tying down the axle or chassis by chain/belts and lifting the Lifting System by using the remote control the Roller Brake Tester to predetermined axle weight.

Lifting device is available with a standard hydraulic pump or with an optional high speed hydraulic pump, both with propor-tional value system for accurate axle weight adjustment.
