The prizeman of the third year who shall have beeneducated at the General Hospital will receive, in additionto the School prize, the sum of twenty guineas, given by theCommittee of that institution.

ADDENDROOKE’S HOSPITAL, CAMBRIDGE.-Clinical Lecturesin connexion with the Cambridge Medical School are deli-vered at this hospital twice a week during the Academicalyear.

HULL AND EAST RIDING SCHOOL OF MEDICINE.-Attend-ance at the lectures and at the hospital, which contains 152beds, will confer the same qualification as is obtained in themedical schools of London. Clinical lectures will be givenat the hospital twice a week : on Medicine, by Sir H.Cooper, Dr. Daly, and Dr. Elliott; on Surgery, by Dr. Lunn,Mr. Craven, and Dr. King. Perpetual fee for attendanceon the medical and surgical practice, £21. The Libraryof the hospital is open to the students of the medical schoolby an annual payment of 10s.

LEEDS SCHOOL OF MEDICINE.-Attendance at the lec-tures of this school will confer the same qualifications forexamination as are obtained in the medical schools of Lon-don. The Hardwick Clinical Prize, value J31O, is conferredannually upon the most deserving student who exhibits a-

satisfactory proficiency in Clinical Medicine. The Surgeons’Clinical Prize, value £10, given by the surgeons of the hos-pital, is conferred annually on the most deserving studentwho exhibits a proficiency in Clinical Surgery. In additionto the silver medal awarded in Medical Jurisprudence, a.new prize of £10 value has been instituted, for which aspecial examination in Forensic Medicine will be annuallyheld. There are six clinical clerkships and eight dresser-ships. Four resident house-surgeons are chosen from thesenior students; board and residence free.

LIVERPOOL ROYAL INFIRMARY SCHOOL OF 1VIEDICTNE. -

Scholarship, value £42, consisting of a gold medal, value£10 10s., and six months’ free board and residence, withdressership and clerkship in the Royal Infirmary. FourExhibitions, value £31 10s. each, consisting of free boardand residence in the Royal Infirmary for six months, withdresserships, on award of the Medical Board. Six dressersand six clinical clerks are elected quarterly. Pupils of theinfirmary are admitted to learn Pharmacy in the dispensingdepartment for six months. SCOTTISH HOSPITALS AND MEDICALSCHOOLS.

ROYAL INFIRMARY, EDINBURGH.-NO fees are payable forany medical or surgical appointment. Four resident phy-sicians and four resident surgeons are from time to timeappointed; they live in the house free of charge. Can-didates for these appointments must be registered as quali-fied practitioners. The appointments are for six months.Non-resident clinical clerks are appointed by the physiciansand surgeons. Each surgeon appoints from four to ninedressers for six months. Assistants in the pathological de-partment are appointed by the pathologist.
