Dear Parents, We’ve been enjoying the sunshine this week; please do remember to put plenty of sun cream on your children in the morning. As part of our maths investigation, we will be conducting a survey in the town centre. If you are able to help, please email your child’s class teacher. We’ll be going from 9-12….any help would be much appreciated! If anyone has sketch books at home, please bring them back in! English We have continued to look at poetry, focusing on personification. The children worked really hard to use exciting vocabulary to write their own poems about driftwood. In SPAG this week we have continued to look at the verb suffixes –ate –ise –ify (noun to verb) Spellings are: personal personalise active activate real realise glory glorify scandal scandalise Spelling test will be next Wednesday MATHS… A heads up! Next week in Maths we will be continuing to look at handling data. For more help with this, look at the mymaths link above. Homework Please take time to think about your favourite leisure facility in Guildford and produce a poster to advertise it. It could be: Spectrum, Lido, Airhop, Stoke Park, Dapdune Wharf or something else of your choice. Think about all the information you’ll need to include.
