    This year we will welcome back JoelBeeke as our main speaker. This willbe his third visit to the Conferenceand he is taking the title ContagiousChristian Living for his addresses.We trust that all of us will catch thevision of living for the glory of theLord in our day. In addition, Dr Beekewill lead a seminar on the theology ofJohn Calvin in the year marking the500th anniversary of the Reformersbirth. We will also be rememberingthe 150th anniversary of the 1859Revival in a further seminar given byDr Gwyn Davies. For the eveningmeetings a number of new speakershave been arranged. Jonathan

    Thomas, Richard Bewes and PeterBaker will each be on the platform forthe first time whilst the week will bedrawn to a close by the return ofAndrew Davies to the Conference.

    Unfortunately, rising costs havedemanded an increase in the pricesfor the Conference. However, we stillbelieve the Conference offers greatvalue for money both in the standardsof accommodation and variety ofmeetings. Of course, the true valueof our gathering at Aberystwyth liesin Gods gracious dealings with usthrough His word.We hope to seeyou in August.

    As usual, a variety of accommodation is available to suit all needs and budgets.Most accommodation is from Saturday to Saturday, though part-week bookingsare available in Penbryn Hall (see right).

    If you prefer, you can book your own accommodation at one of the many hotels,guest houses or campsites in the area. The local tourist information office (01970612125) will be able to give you a list of places to stay. Youll need to purchase aday visitors pass to attend the conference.

    Small Print: All prices include VAT where applicable A non-returnable deposit of 25 is required when you book.

    The outstanding balance must be paid by 30 June 2009, or you risk forfeiting your booking. If you wish to makechanges to your booking, or need to be reminded of a late payment, an administration charge of 5 will be applied.

    If you cancel your booking less than four weeks before the conference (except for certified illness), only half of the

    fees (less deposit) will be reimbursed. Young People under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

    The only exception to this is 16 & 17 year olds booking into accommodation type E.

    GETTING AROUNDMost accommodation blocks are just a few minutes

    walk from the Great Hall, which is on the Universitycampus. (Pentre Jane Morgan is a 10 minute walk

    from the Great Hall.) The campus is about 15 min-utes walk from the town centre, and about 20 min-utes from the sea front. A minibus makes this jour-ney before and after the morning and evening

    services for those who find walking difficult.

    MEALSThose booking self-catering accommodation can have

    evening meals provided in Penbryn for a supplementof 52.50 per person for the week, 7.50 per day,which must be booked in advance. Lunch can alsobe purchased each day by anyone attending the con-

    ference, but this cannot be pre-booked.

    BURSARIESA limited number of bursaries are available for fam-

    ilies who are booked into self-catering accommoda-tion. Bursaries may be given to those receivingIncome Support/Job Seekers allowance, or for full-time Christian workers who require it. Please use

    the notes section if you require a bursary (the maxi-mum bursary available will be 20 per person).

    DISABLED ACCESS

    We have a very limited number of flats modified fordisabled guests. However, all self-catering units havemany rooms on the ground floor. If you have particularneeds, please inform us as early as possible.

    TYPE E ACCOMMODATION FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

    Newly refurbished flats, mainly eight berth. These flats are reserved for theuse of young people aged 16-25. (Contact EMW if someone under the age of16 wishes to join your group.) Save 40 per flat if you book all eight rooms.

    TYPE F PENBRYN

    Part-board (cafeteria system) accommodation in single bedrooms, each hav-ing a wash-basin. Part-week or full-week bookings are available.A day visitors pass is required for part-week bookings only. 35 per day +

    TYPE H DAY PASSES

    Guests not requiring EMW accommodation, or those in part-week accommodation will need a visitorspass to attend meetings between Tuesday and Friday. Please use the notes section to indicate which days

    are required. Under 5s still require a pass, though it is free of charge. Prices as follows. Adults: 40 perweek/12 per day; 12-17: 30 per week/9 per day; 5-11: 20 per week/6.50 per day; Under 5s free(Day pass allows you to attend preaching meetings; seminars; and extra events)

    How to book:

    1) Choose your type of accommodation (A-G) from the list overleaf, and write it in the box at thetop of the booking form. Day visitors should use type H, those requiring an evening pass type I.

    If you are booking more than one type, you will need another form. You may photocopy thisone, download a form from www.emw.org.uk/aber or request one from the office. (You do notneed to use two forms if you are applying for part-week accommodation plus a visitors pass.)

    2) Write the names, addresses and age of each member of your party in the spaces provided.(We ask for the age of guests because we try to ensure that those who are older have rooms onthe ground floor.) If you are planning to attend the conference yourself, make sure you includeyour own name. All invoices will be sent to the group leader, but a conference guide and anentry pass will be sent directly to each member of your party in July. Group leaders are

    responsible for collecting the fees of each group member and forwarding the finalpayment to the EMW office.

    3) Write down the cost for each person. (Remember to subtract a discount for children under 18.)Those in self-catering accommodation who require evening meals should add 52.50. If you areon a low income and applying for a bursary, please use the notes section for this, and write thefull amount (excluding the bursary) in the price column. The bursary will be deducted from yourtotal later.

    4) If you are booking part-week accommodation, or a day-visitors pass, please use the 'Notes'

    section to record when you plan to arrive and depart.

    5) Guests will be added to our mailing list, which will also ensure they receive information aboutAber 2010. Children on our mailing list are only sent information about the childrens events(eg camps), and will not receive any other information from us. If any guests do not wish toreceive mailings, please let us know using the notes section.

    6) If any guests have particular needs, please use the notes section to tell us about them.

    7) Completed forms should be sent to: Aber Conference Bookings, Evangelical Movement of Wales,

    Bryntirion, Bridgend, CF31 4DX, together with a non-refundable deposit of 25 per person(if booking accommodation) or the full fee (if booking visitors passes). Cheques should be madepayable to Evangelical Movement of Wales, or you can pay via credit or debit card. If you arepaying by card, you can opt to have the outstanding balance taken automatically on 30 June2009. Bookings will be accepted from 2 March 2009. Outstanding balance paid by 30 June 2009.

    The Aberystwyth Conference offersexpository preaching, warm fellowshipand a prayerful spirit. The week-longprogramme (see inside) means thatwhilst there is plenty to do, there isalso an opportunity to reflect on whathas been heard. For those who wish to

    explore, Aberystwyth is an ideal basefor discovering mid-Wales beautifulcoastline and rich history.

    Prices for the conference start fromjust 125 for adults and 65 for chil-dren (including self-catering accommo-dation), with bursaries available for

    those on a low wage.

    Children

    Children are well-cared for with special

    Bible-based meetings for 5-11 year olds and

    11-14 year olds which take place during the

    morning conference addresses. A crche is

    also provided for children over 1, and under

    5 years of age.

    Extratime

    Theres also plenty for young people.

    Extratime is a seven day programme of meet-

    ings, seminars, Bible-teaching and

    activities for 15-25 year olds, all carefully

    arranged to complement the main preaching

    programme. A detailed programme of extra-time events will be available soon.
